LATENESS TO CHURCH

Ever since I was born, I have not seen many people arrive late to the airport when they are traveling. In fact, when the plane is taking off at 11:00pm, the person will be at the airport by 7:00pm, wow!

That's how much people value travelling overseas!!

Same when they have to go to court they will be at that Court not less than 30 minutes before the appointed time.

But on a Sunday morning when the service has long begun, that's when you see men and women with 'swag' gliding like a wounded tortoise to Church.

They know they are LATE,

Church starts at 10:00 am but people will come at 10:30am or 11: 00 am why? They think all they need is just to be present and show their faces to their friends.

Just take the test to call them on Monday at 5:30 or 6:00 am , you'll realise they are already on their way to work and some will be there already.

[Know this today, anytime you go to Church one minute late, you have NOT attended Church at all.]

If Christ is saying 'where
two or three are gathered, I'm in their midst', you think He comes late? The time you give is the time He keeps.

What does it mean to arrive late to Church?

1) Disrespect to Christ
2) Betrayal of Christ
3) Disregard to the Church and the Pastor
4) Interruption of an eternal program.

12 important things to know about Nigeria’s student loan scheme

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the student loans amendment bill into law at the State House on Wednesday, April 3.
The Act, also known as the Students Loan Law, also established the Nigerian Education Loan Fund, which is expected to handle all loan requests, grants, disbursement, and recovery.
Here are 12 things to know about the student loan scheme:

1. Nigeria’s student loan is interest-free!

2. The sum is static with a range of repayment options that are tied to a borrower’s income.

3. The beneficiaries will get a two-year “grace period” after completing the one-year National Youth Service before they are expected to commence repayment of the loan.

4. The beneficiary begins repayment only when he or she has started earning income.
5. The baseline repayment amount is 10% of the monthly net pay of the beneficiary (in the case of an employee) or 10% of monthly income or profit of the beneficiary (in the case of a self-employed)

6. There is also an option of a one-off repayment or an opportunity to indicate the particular percentage model you want for those in private business.’
7. Beneficiaries who can not find employment within the grace period of two years will have to periodically report their employment status to the Student Loan board.
8. Beneficiaries of the student loan confirmed to be dead, terminally ill and incapable of earning a living through work will be granted waivers.
9. The sources of funding as dictated by the Act include; one percent of all profits accruing to the federal government from oil and other minerals; one percent of taxes, levies and duties accruing to the federal government from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and Nigerian Customs Service (NCS); education bonds and education endowment fund schemes.
10. The fund is to be domiciled in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and managed by an 11-person special committee chaired by the CBN governor, the law stipulates in Section 5.
11. To apply for the education loan, candidates are required to submit applications to the chairperson of the CBN-governor-headed committee through their respective banks.
12. The application is to be accompanied by a cover letter signed by the head of their institutions (vice-chancellors for university students, rector for polytechnic students and provost for students of colleges of education) and student affairs officer of the institution.@. Everyone Sunday Iliya

Veteran Nigerian singer, Duncan Mighty reveals the reason he took a break from music while vowing to acquire a Doctor of Philosophy degree, Ph.D.

The musician disclosed that he had to take a break from music to pursue his education.

Duncan Mighty made this information known in an interview with 3Music TV in Accra, Ghana, while revealing that he has an MSc in Acoustics from Freiburg University in Germany.

He also advised his colleagues to chase their education if they haven’t achieved it yet, because talent is not enough.

His words read:

“Taking a break from music wasn’t a difficult decision. Most importantly, you must be able to equip yourself. You must be in charge of your career or business. For me, talent is not enough, music is not enough, ” he said.

“I have to back it up with education. Studying in an international community like Freiburg University… It is not an English-speaking university. You had to do Dutch language courses for six months, then you would be admitted to school.

“But I give God praise. I think education is the only thing that remains with you even in old age. So if you cannot go to school when you parents could send, you should go when you can send yourself. That was why I took a break from music. I’m not done with education yet. I must have a PhD.

The Nature of Theology

The word THEOLOGY refers to the study of God. When used in a broader sense, it can include all the other doctrines revealed in Scripture. God is the supreme being who has created and now controls all that exists, and theology seeks to understand and articulate in a systematic manner information revealed to us by him. Thus theology is concerned with ultimate reality. Since it is the study of the ultimate, nothing is more important. And because it is a study of the ultimate, it defines and governs every other area of thought and life. Therefore, as long as God is the ultimate being or reality, theological reflection is the ultimate human activity.

This book is a presentation of several major biblical doctrines that come under the study of systematic theology. A doctrine consists of a set of ideas or propositions on a topic, so a biblical doctrine is the biblical teaching on a subject. Theology refers to the study of the Bible or the systematic formulation of doctrines from the Bible. A biblical doctrine is always binding, and a system of theology is authoritative to the extent that it reflects the teachings of the Bible.

Many Christians think it is wrong to study theology for its own sake. An anti-intellectual spirit has so infiltrated the church that they refuse to believe that intellectual activity possesses intrinsic value. But this implies that even knowing God must serve a greater purpose, probably a practical or ethical one. Although the knowledge of God ought to affect one's conduct, it is a mistake to think that the intellectual enterprise of theology serves a purpose that is greater than itself. Rather, since to study theology is to know God, and to know God is the highest purpose of man, theology possesses the highest intrinsic value. As Jeremiah 9:23-24 says:

Abraham believe God was able to give him a land that was already inhabited and to prove he Believed, he left his father's house by faith.

2. *Make plans* : plans are road maps towards the actualization of a vision. Without a conscious planning, it may practically be impossible to actualize a God given vision.

3. *Attitudes* ; There are attitudes that guarantees success in life, and there are attitudes that guarantee failures in life. If you are a lazy person for example, there are high tendencies you will end up a failure in life.
