Last Wednesday, Nov 29, we had an entertaining and educational session with photographer Dereje and Nafokot on "the photographers talk show", which has been suspended for months. We will still continue the program, including bi-weekly photographers and filmmakers. We will also have a weekly television program on Asham Television soon!. In the first installment of the new "The photographers talk show " series, come listen as these talented artists share stories and insights from their journeys capturing life's hidden gems. Dear colleagues of tikur qelem,

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you celebrate the start of 2016 in peace and good spirits with family and friends. As we mark the final days of the festive season, I want to look back on 2015 and thank you all for your contributions over the past 12 months.

2015 was another year of change for tikur qelem. It was a year in which we further strengthened the magazine, increasing our standards by welcoming new members and implementing important initiatives that will guarantee our continued success.

These include investing in a variety of new TV shows and original content, including our inclusion of monthly photographers' talk shows and workshops.

Working together, we have faced significant challenges and made good progress towards our strategic goals – not the least of which is having a significant impact on our own work and that of other media people, as well as on community life.

I am proud to see how quickly we adapt to each new challenge and how tikur qelem cooperate with each other.

We have also taken other important steps, such as organizing the annual International Photographers Award.

Over the past year, you have all demonstrated our strength as an organization time and time again.

The work we are doing is more important today than ever. The services we offer are at the heart of the media community. Photographers and filmmakers trust us to connect, learn and have fun with each other, and I'm happy to say that we strive to serve and delight them in every move.

2016 is shaping up to be another exciting year. We look forward to working more on many initiatives to provide the best services, superior customer experience and amazing content.

I want to thank you for your continued commitment and efforts. Each of us has an important role to play in the work ahead of us and I am confident that together we will achieve great things.
