Amar S***a -The Marathon Man and his Student Pritam Rai were felicitated today 29.05.24 on the occasion of the 110th Anniversary of Sir Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and 71st Everest Summit Day. They both did a tribute run to commemorate this special day by doing a 23.11 kms run from Jorethang, South Sikkim to HMI, Darjeeling. They both were warmly welcomed in HMI, Darjeeling by the Principal of HMI Shri Jai Kishan ji and Shri Jamling Norgay Sherpa, son of Sir Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. This is a proud moment for all the Sikkimese people and an inspiration to many athletes in the region.

Tomorrow on 29th May 2024 on the occasion of 110th Birth Anniversary of Mountaineer Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and 71st Everest Summit Day, Amar S***a the Marathon Man of Sikkim and his student Pritam Rai will be taking part in 32 km run from Jorethang to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) Darjeeling as a part of paying tribute to the legendary Mountaineer and the first Everester Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. The tribute run is being supported by HMI Principal and Group Captain Shri Jai Kishan and Dr. Dawa Sherpa Chief Coordinator Adventure Tourism GTA.
Amar S***a also appeals the central government to consider Tenzing Norgay Sherpa for Prestigious Bharat Ratna award for that Late Mountaineer's contribution towards his country be recognized.

Urgent Financial Help Needed for Thimyan Limboo

Thimyan Limboo, an 11-month-old baby, son of Ima Hang Limboo and Som Hangma Limboo, residents of Sardung Middle Lungzik, is in urgent need of financial assistance for medical treatment. Thimyan is currently struggling with a heart problem and requires immediate medical attention.
Thimyan Limboo underwent heart surgery in 2023, and unfortunately, he is facing complications with his condition. The family is now preparing to take him to Durgapur Hospital on 16th May for further treatment.

The cost of Thimyan's treatment is estimated to be between 4 to 5 Lakhs, an amount the family cannot afford. Despite their best efforts, they are unable to bear the burden of these medical expenses.

We appeal to kind-hearted individuals and organizations to extend their support and contribute towards Thimyan's medical expenses. Your generous contributions can make a significant difference in saving the life of this innocent child.

Any financial assistance, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated. Contributions can be made directly to the family or through designated channels set up for Thimyan's medical fund.

Nimsang Limboo Came First place in The Buddha Trail Run in 30 km Category. He took an astounding time of 2 hours and 23 minutes and which is a new cross record, he hails from Darap, West Sikkim, and is a Student of Amar S***a Marathon Man.
The Buddha Trails Run is under ITRA and this will facilitate the Trail Runners to Participate in future UTMB races.🎉
