RBY MADE THE YANSON 4 MAJORITY IN THE YGBC
Dr. Olivia V. Yanson disinherited her four (4) children because she wants to get back half of all the shares of the bus companies under the Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC) which were given to them in 2008 during the lifetime of her husband, Dr. Ricardo B. Yanson, Sr.
In giving almost entirely all of the shares in the bus companies to the six (6) Yanson siblings in equal shares and with the Yanson 4 combining all their respective shareholdings together, RBY had practically made the four (4) siblings, namely Roy, Emily, Celina, and Ricky Yanson, Jr., the majority shareholders of their bus companies. A thing so derided by their mother who has shown preference and favor to the other two (2) siblings.
The disinheritance of the Y4 by OVY doesn't affect at all their majority status in the YGBC since the provenance of their shareholdings came from RBY's prescient distribution of their shares in 2008.

MAYOR Albee Benitez SUPPORTS NEPC FRANCHISE GRANT
Mayor Albee Benitez supports House Bill No. 9310 filed last September 25, 2023 by three (3) Negros congressmen.
The bill is authored by Hon. Joseph Stephen S. Paduano of Abang Lingkod Party list, Hon. Juliet Marie De Leon-Ferrer of the 4th District, and Hon. Jose Francisco B. Benitez of the 3rd District. It seeks to grant a franchise to Negros Electric and Power Corporation (NEPC) to acquire, establish, operate, and maintain a distribution system for the conveyance of electric power to consumers in the current area of coverage of CENECO. The latter's franchise expires in 2030.
"One thing I just like about this company coming in, unlike other companies, unlike other proponents, sa Day One wala kuarta ga gwa eh. In this case, this group, this proponent, on Day One ga gwa na ang investment nila," the mayor said.
Mayor Albee Benitez will pursue complete green or renewable energy for Bacolod City starting early next year 2024 in order to attract international investors. This after 55.31 percent, 98,591 out of 178,236 of the MCOs (member-consumer-owner), of CENECO approved the JVA with PrimeElectric Holdings Incorporated in the plebiscite called for the purpose.
