Vision
We envision The Spectrum to be an independent organization of committed student writers and artists fully capable of venturing into campus journalism and to serve as instruments of truth and change in the society. We see The Spectrum as a platform competent to amplify all sides of the Lasallian narrative, achieving better and imagined possibilities.
Mission
We are a media corps that delivers accurate and relevant stories for and beyond the Lasallian community by living out the core Lasallian values of Faith, Service, and Communion so as to help form Lasallian audiences who are well-informed, can reflectively dialogue and seek creative, peaceful solutions to issues in the society.
Name and Office
The official student publication of the University of St. La Salle is known as The Spectrum. It is under the supervision of the Office for Student Affairs. The publication adheres to the tagline βTruth Beyond Knowing,β as a way of encapsulating its vision, mission and values to deliver timely, accurate and relevant information, looking beyond the surface of events and issues, and encouraging reflection, dialogue and peaceful and creative solutions-seeking among its audiences.
It has its office at the Coliseum grounds beside the Discipline Office, University of St. La Salle, Bacolod City.
