The donkey said to the tiger, "The grass is blue". The tiger replied:"No, the grass is green."
The conversation became intense, and the pair opted to present their case for arbitration, so they approached the lion, the ruler of the Jungle.
Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout: "His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?". The lion replied:
"True, the grass is blue." The donkey hurried and continued: "The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him. "The king then declared:

"The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence. "The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating:
"The Grass Is Blue"... The tiger accepted his punishment, but before he asked the lion: "Your Majesty, why have you punished me?, after all, the grass is green."
The lion replied: "In fact, the grass is green."
The tiger asked: "So why are you punishing me?".The lion replied: "That has nothing to do with the question of whether the grass is blue or green. The punishment is because a brave and intelligent creature like you can't waste time arguing with a donkey, and on top of that come and bother me with that question."

The worst waste of time is arguing with the fool and fanatic who does not care about truth or reality, but only the victory of his beliefs and illusions. Never waste time on arguments that don't make sense...
There are people who, no matter how much evidence and evidence we present to them, are not in the capacity to understand, and others are blinded by ego, hatred, and resentment, and all they want is to be right even if they are not.
When ignorance screams, intelligence is silent. Your peace and quiet are worth more.

WHAT BOASTING CAN DO!

Meeting an Old class mate, we had not seen each other for about 30 years. The Lord has been kind to me.

When I saw him again, this time at a hotel lobby, *he was looking simple.* He wore *simple clothes.* I felt touched.
He walked up to me and was glad to see me again. But deep within me I was not impressed with his status compared to mine and poor me, I couldn't hide it.

We exchanged contact details and I could see the joy in him as he collected mine.
I told him I will drop him home in my brand new *Range Rover* and I pointed it to him.
He declined and said he had already called for his car. It looked old, *a 2001 Honda Accord*.
I invited him the next day for lunch at my house. A part of me wanted to impress him, *to show off my success and affluence to him,* while another was to discuss opportunities and possibly help him.

He drove to Parkview where I lived. *He looked impressed with my home.* I had taken a heavy mortgage. *In fact I was heavily in debt.* We had lunch. He told me he was into small business and particularly real estate. I brought up more business discussions, but he didn't sound too interested. I asked him how I could help him. He said he was fine. I even told him if he was interested, I could help him secure some loans... He looked at me and smiled.

He told me he would invite me over soon to his place. His old car came for him. I was grateful to God for what I had. *“Fingers are not all equal”,* I thought to myself...I was lucky. I worked in a good place.

Two weeks later, we went to see him in a remote, my wife and I.
She was reluctant to go because she was not impressed with the man's status as to warrant our visiting him in his house.
I was able to convince her that we were close friends in college.
We saw the Estate. We asked for directions to his home. Those leading us spoke his name with deference.

It was a simple but lovely home. A 4 bedroom bungalow. I saw 4 cars parked in front. We entered his home. It was simply elegant with a touch of class inside. He welcomed us warmly.

Lunch was well served.
His wife called him babe, honey, Papa!!!

During lunch, he asked about my MD. He said they were friends. I saw a company gift on one of his tables nearby. That company owned about 38% shares where I worked. I enquired from him about it. He smiled. *He told me he owned the company.* He also owned the estate.

_I did not know when I called him sir... I was in awe of him too._

I had learnt a lesson in humility, A big one. *Appearances are deceptive.* He noticed my discomfort.

Driving back home, I was very quiet. My wife was humbled and extremely calm. I could perceive the thoughts in her mind. I looked at myself. Living on loans, heavy loans and showing off while someone who pays my salary is quite modest and living a simple life!

Indeed *Deeper Rivers Flow In Majestic Silence*!

*WHAT TASTE DO YOU LEAVE IN OTHERS' MOUTHS?*

There was an old man who was admitted to a hospital.

A young man visited him every day and sat with him for more than one hour.
He helped.him eat his food, and to take his shower.

Then he would take him walking in the garden of the hospital.
After that, he return him to his room and help him to lie down.

He would leave after reassuring himself that the old man was doing well.

One day the nurse entered his room, to give him medicine and inspect his condition, and said to him:
"May the Lord be always gracious to your kind and caring son. Every day he visits you and shows great care."

The old man looked at her and closed his eyes and said to her:
"I wish it was one of my children. This is an orphan from the neighborhood where we live. I met him one day in the past, crying at the door of a Mosque, after his father died. I comforted him and bought for him candy. I neither saw him nor talked to him for a very long time.

When he grew up and came to discover where my wife and I were living. He was visiting us every day to inspect our conditions. When I later fell sick, he took my old wife to his home. He then comes to the hospital to see my treatment everyday. One day I asked him: "My son why do you have to deal with us and care about us?"

He simply smiled and then said: "The taste of the candy is still in my mouth."
The question is, 'What kind of taste are we leaving in the mouths of the people we encounter'?

HOW DOES A FIRST CLASS GRADUATE EARN ₦17,000 IN A MONTH.

Before you start shifting the blame to employers that has don't like to pay their staff well.

Let's talk about the first class graduate first.

I saw this a someone's post and I couldn't help but think about a wasted school fees and ofcourse brain.

In fact what I am about to share will profit you even if you stopped at O'level.

Do you know that all you need to earn atleast 30k every month is to earn just 1k daily?

You need to make 2k daily to have 60k monthly and so on.

If you have a smartphone and you decided to learn a skill, say graphic design.

And you market that graphic designing with all your might.

Don't even charge too much, charge only 2k for each design daily and grow from there.

There are many places you can promote yourself like, Facebook groups, your timeline, WhatsApp and even offline.

Yes, you can look for clients offline. Go around to offices around you and present what you do to them.

No employer can pay you more than you are worth or should I say, more than the value you place on yourself.

You can do better for yourself.

BUYING OXYGEN…

Do you know that in some hospitals; OXYGEN is administered at the rate of about N4,500.00 per hour for adults and N3,000.00 per hour for children?
Now; if adults were to be placed on oxygen for a whole day; the bill will be N108,000.00. If this is extended to a month; the amount becomes N3.24 million. For one year; it will be N38.88 million.
The next time we are tempted to think that God seems to be unkind to us; let us remember this: He gives each of us more than N3Million monthly benefits of Oxygen without payment. And if He can do this, He can take care of every other thing. He has got you covered.

Paystack co-founder Ezra Olubi shared an important piece of his life yesterday: he is a sill tenant in Lagos even though he is unbelievably liquid after Paystack was acquired by Stripe for $200 million.

That information he shared, as expected, generated a lot of conversation and buzz, as a lot of people wondered why he chose to be a tenant when he drives a Tesla.

But the young man is right, and this is why

A friend recently visited me.

I live in a rented duplex in a secluded neighborhood in Lagos.

My guest was shocked that I live in a rented 4-bedroom duplex when I could have saved and built mine.

I laughed and then told him that at this stage of my growth,

I don’t think I need to build my own house yet.

It is cheaper for me to rent, which is why

Building on my estate will cost me 200 million nairas.

A plot of land alone is worth 90–100 million, depending on who Is selling it.

Instead of burying 200 million in a dead asset. it is more economically wise for me to plow the money into setting up a daily 5,000-modular refinery someplace in Akwa Ibom or a tissue conversion business in Lagos,

When the modular refinery business takes shape and breaks even, the business can fulfill my vanity by building a palatial Manson of my choice anywhere in the world, and the business will continue to be operational.

When my oga and the MD of Tiger Foods, Don Ebubeogu, were building up Tiger Foods with his older brother, they were tenants in GRA Onitsha for the longest time.

They were liquid, but they chose to plow the money the business was generating back into the business.

Even though their senior staff were busy buying and building their house.

A lot of people who knew that they were renting thought they were stupid but they ignored the distraction and noise but rather focused on the grind.

They finally built their houses eight years ago in Onitsha.

Their house is unarguably one of the finest properties you can see in Onitsha.

A palatial mansion befitting of kings, built in the old Roman Empire style, and it must have cost them billions of naira to do that.

Tiger Foods funded the project for them without stress.

So the money they would have used to build their first properties was plugged back into the business.

The money grew and funded their vanities.

They have Tiger Foods as their business, and their residence is by the side.

This is the standard, and this is how it is supposed to be.

Our parents made that mistake, investing in illiquid assets that did not generate enough cash flow on the properties where they would live.

You know, I want to be a landlord.

That is why. So many of us grew up seeing our parents with illiquid assets all over the place but no cash flow and a decent 50 million in the bank that could cover any life emergencies.

And our generation is making that same mistake again, which is fine because Nigerians have an emotional attachment to their homes, which is good.

If there is one lesson I learned from my mentor, Peace Mass Transit Chairman, Dr. Samuel Maduka Onyishi, MON, it is to think long-term even when the short-term is alluring.

That 200 million you want to use to build your first house can start a business that can generate the money you need to build that house, and the business will continue operating.

I think that is what Ezra has done, and I think he is an example and poster boy of this long-term mindset, just like my mentor taught me.

Accept reality

Instead of spending four years reading a course like sociology, philosophy, anthropology, political science, library science and so on at university, just go and learn a high income skill like nursing, cloud computing, blockchain engineering, artificial intelligence, web design, coding, programming, ethical hacking, and analytics, for between six and eighteen months. You will earn more in a lifetime than most university graduates. The world has changed.
Many university courses have expired. They belong in a museum. Maybe a few people can read them to preserve some knowledge. But when you have hundreds of thousands studying them at degree level, they will never find real life applicable jobs for those degrees. And they and their courses end up being a drain on society.
Get a skill instead of a semi-useless degree! And stop looking for loopholes. Those courses are dead and gone. They are like aerial cameramen. You cannot streamline an aerial cameraperson to compete with a drone. Accept reality and make better educational choices, and stop putting good money behind lost causes. Truth is bitter, but better!

EXPRESS TI BLOCK"

I was few kilometres away from Ibadan and vehicles ahead started making u-turn. It was the 5th driver who offered to tell me "EXPRESS TI BLOCK" in a hurry.

I pulled over and asked God what I should do. I was pacing to catch an appointment.

An old farmer emerged attempting to cross. I alighted and greeted him, grinning.

He knew about the accident that locked the traffic down. It was apparent I needed help and he was gracious to me.

Values are local! One good place to experience humanity is in the village.

Baba told me there's a way but it's dusty, long and rough. His conclusion became my chewing stick for a long time;

"Sùúrù lẹ'ẹfi gba bẹ o; ẹ beere ona niwaju"

(You'd ply the route patiently; ask for direction as you advance)

I crossed to where he pointed off the express; removed my jacket, my bib and released the neck button.

A man who was working in an Oil company was sending his wife money for upkeep, she used part of the money to build a house without the knowledge of her husband.
She finished building the house and parked in. Her hubby was excited that he has relocated her family to a new rented apartment because the wife didn't tell him the house belongs to her.

He lost his job and came back, yet continued paying the house rent.
His wife arranged a caretaker to be collecting the rent on her behalf.

Life became so hard for the man to the extent that he was finding it difficult to pay for their rent and other family responsibilities.

One day,the husband went somewhere and they told him that the house they are living on rent belongs to his wife. He confronted her but she denied. It took threat for her to accept that she's indeed the owner and proxy landlady of the house.
