Proverbs 10:19 Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.

Proverbs 10:20 The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.

Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the righteous nourish many, but fools die for lack of sense.

Proverbs 10:22 The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.

Proverbs 10:23 A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes, but a person of understanding delights in wisdom.

Proverbs 10:24 What the wicked dread will overtake them; what the righteous desire will be granted.

Many young people desire to make quick money in an ungodly manner. Sadly, those who go through short cut to make money have had their lives cut short. They do not only harm themselves but also inflict pains in the heart of their loved ones.

The text today reveals profound truth about wealth. First, God gives blessings which include wealth. It implies that God wants His children to be wealthy.
🏙
Second, God's blessing does not include pain. He blesses His children out of His riches such that they do not have to toil before accessing it. God's blessing is not limited to riches; it includes wisdom, understanding and the desires of the righteous.

His blessing also preserves the righteous and keeps them from evil. God's children do not have to fear because they are assured of His presence.
🌉
The economic situation of the country is taking its toll on everyone. People are under pressure to make ends meet. Believers, however, should be careful not to acquire wealth through ungodly means.

True blessings come from God when you live in obedience to His instructions and work hard. No matter the present pressure, let the words of Civilla D. Martin encourage you that "God will take care of you, thro' ev'ry day, o'er all the way...."

*Insight:* With obedience comes the blessing of God.

*Prayer:* Father, I receive grace to rest in Your means of meeting my daily needs.
