President Tinubu Signs Student Loan Bill Into Law

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) a few minutes ago signed into law, The Student Loan Bill, which provides for interest-free loans to indigent Nigerian students.

Recall that Tinubu, during his campaign, had promised to give student loans as part of efforts to develop the education sector and also build the youth capacity.

Tinubu made the promise at the British Royal Institute in London.

“Youths are the greatest asset of tomorrow,” Tinubu said in Chatham House while fielding questions from participants at the event.

He that they will be part of his “all-inclusive” government, pointing to the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

“The education system is to change. We would overhaul it and tinker with some areas with the philosophy that no one would be left behind. There will be student loans for all. We are going to reform the Almajiri system, We are equally going to build more schools, recruit more teachers and train them,” the former Lagos state governor said.

Association of Nigerian Broadcasters announces official takeoff

The Association of Nigerian Broadcasters (ANBROAD) has officially announced its formal takeoff as an organization aimed at promoting inclusivity and upholding the ethical standards of broadcasting across the nation. The association seeks to unite like-minded broadcasters and media practitioners in Nigeria, fostering national unity through the power of broadcasting.

The establishment of ANBROAD marks a significant milestone in the Nigerian media landscape, as it brings together professionals from various broadcasting platforms. By uniting under one umbrella, ANBROAD aims to enhance collaboration and create a collective voice for broadcasters in Nigeria.

In a press statement signed by Prince Kolade Alabi, Chairman of the Steering Committee of ANBROAD and Alhaji Suleiman Adegbenro, Committee Secretary, expressed their enthusiasm about the association's launch. "We are delighted to formally announce the takeoff of the Association of Nigerian Broadcasters. This initiative is driven by our commitment to fostering professionalism and promoting unity through broadcasting," he stated.

A STUDENT OF MASS COMMUNICTION DEPARTMENT IN National Diploma Two (ND2), of ADESEUN OGUNDOYIN POLYTECHNIC ERUWA identified as OYETUNJI KANYINSOLA OYINDAMOLA was reportedly found dead with her eyes plucked-out in her hostel on Wednesday afternoon,

According to an eye witness who confirmed the bad incident to ELIO-REPORT, HE made it clear that OYINDAMOLA IS IN HER first semester of national diploma two ND 2 and the school FIRST semester exam started this week Tuesday, she is living at Ile Idibo, very close to campus environment.

ELIO-REPORT found out that the lady was reported death since Monday June-12 in her room and her co**se later discover after 3days with her eyes plucked-out after fellow students in the hostel perceived foul smell coming from her room its was also gather that her friends were worried after she wasn’t seen in the exam hall for two days.

As of press time, her co**se has been deposited in the morgue.
