The First Technical University, Ibadan has matriculated 189 students for the 2023/2024 academic session. The matriculation ceremony which held today at the Faculty of Engineering CBT Hall was graced by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adesola Ajayi, the Deputy Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, and other members of the Senate. The VC in his speech acknowledged the presence of all Dignitaries Present and congratulated the students officially as he welcomed them into the institution....

A delegation of students’ representatives from the First Technical University in Ibadan paid a courtesy visit to the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Mr Bayo Lawal, on Monday. The students, who were recently elected as the leaders of the state-owned institution, introduced themselves to the government and presented their grievances. This was announced in a memo signed by The President, Adedibu Jamaldeen announcing the recent development. Tech-U Male University Hostel supervisor, Mr Fagbamila, has issued a strong warning to students who play defiance to the hostel rules and regulations, particularly the one that prohibits them from cooking in the hostels. While speaking to The Sting, Mr Fagbamila said that the school is not unaware that there are miscreants who make a fool of the intelligence of the hostel rules by engaging in cook-a-thon in their rooms, stating that under no circumstances will the school embrace any felonious gesture against the laid down standards....
