An investigation has been launched after the Western Province Intelligence Division had received information in connection to a WhatsApp group suspected to be connected to Islamic ISIS, operating in Sri Lanka.

It was reported that a WhatsApp group called 'Interschool' is related to ISIS and if someone was invited to join, they could not leave the group after joining.

"Do not travel to Sri Lanka due to COVID-19. Exercise increased caution in Sri Lanka due to terrorism.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 4 Travel Health Notice for Sri Lanka due to COVID-19, indicating a very high level of COVID-19 in the country. Visit the Embassy's COVID-19 page for more information on COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.

Terrorists may attack with little or no warning, targeting tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, hospitals, and other public areas.

The U.S. government has limited ability to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens in remote areas."

The Netherlands, which manufactures the kit, stated that the result is delivered within five seconds after a blood sample is taken. The Sri Lankan agent for the distribution of kits is UDZ Pharmaceuticals in Battaramulla.

The Sri Lanka Police was (03), entertaining the persons who are under self-quarantine in Maradana, Colombo 10. This has been done by the Police to entertain the 2,000 people who are under self-quarantine due to coronavirus.
