Another phenomenal season… done! This year our social strategy for was key in bringing new audiences to the nearly 40-year old competition.

The Starstruck team is responsible for the brand’s reactive TikTok platform, fast-turnaround content production from each location and the creation of student story films, inspiring even more STEM kids to become the changemakers of tomorrow.

An exciting day for WWE fans in the UK as the organisation announce talks are underway to bring their biggest event, WrestleMania, to London. WrestleMania has delivered $1.25 billion+ in economic impact for its host cities, with this year’s show in Philadelphia attracting over 145,000 fans from 64 countries. WWE President Nick Khan and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque flew in to spend the day with London Mayor Sadiq Khan at City Hall to discuss their shared ambition of bringing this pop-culture extravaganza to the capital; the first international WrestleMania, outside of North American and Canada, in its 40 year history.

The news comes off the back of WWE’s huge international growth post-pandemic. WWE has been a worldwide broadcast TV and touring live event powerhouse for 4 decades but the brand is currently enjoying its biggest resurgence since the early 90s after a shift in creative leadership, global brand tie-ups, strategic entertainment and sporting partnerships, plus the mainstream crossover appeal of stars such as John Cena and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. WWE programming will also move to Netflix in January; an unprecedented shift into live sports for the platform in a 10 year deal worth $5 billion.

Starstruck’s WWE fan brand ‘Gorilla Position’ has seen huge surges in popularity in 2024, delivering always-on drumbeat social content that helps keep UK fans connected and deeply engaged with the brand. A major milestone for our fan brand, ‘Gorilla Position’ (). We’ve done big business on YouTube, this week hitting 100,000 subscribers and 50 million+ views.

Produced in-house from our Soho HQ, the weekly show began life as a UK-centric podcast but now reaches fans across the world through our YouTube content, social channels, plus in-person fan activations and live events.

At Starstruck, we create fans for the brands we work with and this is the greatest possible example of that. Congratulations to our CEO, - the driving force both in front of and behind the mic - and our amazing production team who have elevated this always-on content across all touch points.

Another hugely successful weekend with , creating 360 degree content around their latest premium live event, ‘Clash at the Castle’ in Glasgow.

For Starstruck’s WWE fan show, ‘Gorilla Position’ and global sponsor 2K Games, our team produced fast-turnaround content across the weekend at all fan and press activations around the city, before taking over the talent hotel to produce podcast, live stream and social content ahead of the big show itself.

With over 11,000 fans in attendance for ‘Clash at the Castle’, the sold out OVO Hydro Arena looked stunning, showcasing once again what a special brand WWE is and why our companion content for their vast fan community performs so well.

Whilst we love all our client work, it’s very fun to develop our own in-house projects and brands. It gives us the opportunity to incubate new production and creative talent within the Starstruck family.

We’ve continued this trend throughout 2023 with our WWE fan brand ‘Gorilla Position’. Formally a podcast and live event series, the Starstruck team has taken CEO ’s brainchild and helped expand it even further with a cross-platform social strategy that has refreshed the ‘’ offering and hyper-engaged the loyal fan-base.

Through regulatory of short-form content over the last 5 months, Gorilla Position has garnered more than 45,000 new social followers (now totalling 150,000) and generated a phenomenal 33 million+ organic videos views.

It’s feathering the nest to give us and our growing team the room to grow, learn, and build brands bigger and better across not only but also and many others in 2024…

As we race towards the end of another year, we’ve been reflecting on our incredibly successful 2023 on track with the STEM students of . This global engineering competition is one of our favourite projects. Starstruck are the gatekeepers of quality across all output, providing an insight-driven strategy that has increased impressions, world of mouth, brand sentiment and engagements across all of the brand's social platforms.

Our passionate, world-class team created both live-assets and fast-turnaround content around the world this year, plus captured enough materials to fill a drum-beat content calendar between the tentpole events, giving Shell Eco-marathon more presence and consistency than ever before.

It's the world's most famous reality TV format and it was back with a bang this past weekend as ITV played host to the long-awaited reboot of Big Brother.

Along with 16 new housemates, the show's return after 5 years also saw the introduction of new hosts for the series, and one of the Starstruck team, !

Some may know Will from his early presenting days on Channel 4's T4, others may know him from UKTV's coverage of Red Bull's Soapbox Race, but few would know what a brilliant creative Will is BEHIND the camera.

One of the Starstruck family, 11 year old Buster - son of one our brilliant writers Tom Fordy - has been bravely battling leukaemia for the last 2 years. Last weekend marked the end of his treatment and it happened to coincide with ‘Money in the Bank’, a huge show that we were filming at. Thank you so much to the team at who helped us organise a surprise for Buster; a visit backstage to meet some wonderfully kind talents, signed merch, ringside seats for the show, plus an opportunity to get in the ring, centre stage of the action! Buster is a true hero having trialled new treatment that will go on to save thousands of young lives in the future. We could not be more proud to know him. Thank you to an amazing client, WWE, for making a memory for Buster that will last a lifetime. 🏆
