Designed for ages 8–10 and 11–12, this action-packed day lets young creatives step into the shoes of a real film crew — writing, shooting, acting in, and editing their very own short film… all in just ONE DAY! 🚀

No experience? No problem! Whether you’re a born performer, a future director, or just want to try something new — this is for YOU.

Your film will be automatically considered for a nomination at the Young Film Academy Awards, on Saturday 20th September 2025 at the iconic Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square. If your film’s selected, you’ll be invited to walk the red carpet and see your work on the big screen! 📽️

Instead of our usual YFA branded T-Shirts, we wanted you to create a design for YOU! Something that you can wear that will remind you of all the amazing memories you will create at this years epic filmmaking summer camp. 🌞🌞🌞

Nora has directed ‘The Breadwinner’, ‘My Father’s Dragon’ and more. She is one of the co-founders of CARTOON SALOON () alongside Tomm Moore and Paul Young. Cartoon Saloon is a legendary animation studio based in Kilkenny City, Ireland. Nora has worked as an animator, director, screenwriter, producer and voice actress.
