Today, 17 November, we celebrate International Students Day and recognise students' achievements worldwide! This day was established in 1941 to commemorate a student demonstration against N**i occupation in what is now Czechoslovakia. Since then, it has become an international celebration to honour all students and their hard work. International Student's Day celebrates the value of cultural diversity on campuses, promotes global awareness of other cultures and encourages civic awareness.

At Oxford University Press, we believe that books are your key to learning more about the world around you, the diverse cultures of others, and the history that informs our present and future.

The theme for World Tourism Day, 27 September 2023, is “Tourism and green investment”, highlighting the need for better-targeted investments that match the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The disruption in the tourism sector brought about by COVID-19 provided an opportunity to explore new directions for a more sustainable future for people, the Planet, and prosperity. Now is the time for new and innovative solutions that promote and underpin economic growth and productivity.
Oxford's Secondary Atlases offer your TVET tourism students much more than maps, with human geography themes and datasets that provide insight into issues such as quality of life and carbon footprint.

Celebrating World Maths Day and International Women's Day.

Today we celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in mathematics who have broken barriers and changed the course of history. These women have paved the way for the generations of female mathematicians who followed.

We must continue to recognize women mathematicians throughout history and their contributions to the field of study—ranging from discovering fundamental theorems to rocket science and putting astronauts into orbit.

Let's celebrate the incredible women in mathematics and inspire the next generation of trailblazers!
