When you write a book
read as much as you can of the same category/genre. What do others say and write about? For one it might inspire new thoughts, and second, if you know everything about other authors in your field, you can define the specific niche that is just you! That way you enhance your uniqueness and make your book an item people that want to buy.
It is obvious that just writing the same that others already wrote (may be in some other words), will not make your book sell.😎 Apart from that, are you not really so unique that you deserve to show the difference to others?

Self-Publishing a book
is basically an entrepreneurial activity.
You not only write the book, you test it by letting different people read it and heed their feedback. Have it edited by a trained native speaker. always be ready to take any correction people tell you. AcadSA Publishing gives you help, but you as author are still the main decision maker. We will format your book, but then again, go to any bookshop and compare the formatting and see, if the formatting can be improved.
Your book is your company and you are the CEO. Take on the responsibility.

Write a book and use marketing tools and techniques to make it attractive to buy. You don't need to make money out of it, but using business to spread your message, by making people wanting to buy it, will end up you spreading the message as far as you can think.

A Multi-Talented Woman by Rirhandu Madeline Ntsanwisi

A woman was created when God saw a need. Proverbs 31:10-31 talks about an original woman who is capacitated with wisdom and strength to produce wealth and good works. These extras or talents are very special and if they are manifested properly, they can be a solution to all the problems of mankind.

Unfortunately a woman isn't aware of these wealth of talents that God has put inside her that she ends up being part of a problem herself instead of being a solution.

The book of Genesis empowered a woman to assist but instead we see her being the one who is assisted. It is not supposed to be like that.

Women are supposed to produce tangible things at all times even in situations where there is nothing. They are unique vessels.

LOOS HOPE, the worlds largest floating bookfair has been in Cape Town and is leaving today. It was really interesting to see how many people from all different walks of life and even from more than 50 different countries were on board. Some Capetonians i haven't met for a long time, I met at least on the ship. Who did you meet?

It's a business!
to write a book and bring your message across to the people, you must understand: writing a book is a business. If you go to any publisher, you will first have to sell your book to the publisher. If you choose self-publishing, you will have to set up a marketing structure to make your book work. Of course you are free to simply write a story for your family and your friends, but if you want to bring your message across to many people, you have to approach your book as a business and you have to understand yourself as an entrepreneur. And you are a good, successful entrepreneur! Just have the courage to get started!

What to do with my book?
You made it. Written a book and it is great! What next? Of course you want to find a publisher. And here the first question is: self-publishing or not? Self-publihsing means, you are the author and the owner of YOUR book! You decide the size and the cover. You decide if the typesetting is OK or needs to be changed. You decide how many books are printed, it at all or if you go for e-book. And even there you decide the format. You are the owner of your book!
And even if you later decide a revision, reprint, or no reprint, it s YOUR decision!
Just imagine you deliberately put a sentence in a funny way, because you want to express something very specific and your publisher simply cuts that out because that is not how your language works or whatever reason the publisher gives or doesn't give. As a self-publisher, YOU decide, what is English, what is Khosa, what is Venda, what is Afrikaans or what is French.
So what to do with YOUR BOOK? Publish it, but make the decisions yourself!

Personal contact changes everything. If there is a chance, we work on seeing our authors personally. Dr. Leon Klein published his book "Perfect Marriages are from Hell" with AcadSA Publishing and he is giving seminars and personal counselling to marriage issues. Just this short note: It's not the marriage that is from hell, but to try and make it perfect, because none of us is. :-) At a breakfast we shared about our different ministries and blessed each other greatly.
