Four friends having an online bottle share with lots of stuff... news, updates, chat, laughing, reviews, drinking, and the occasional burps. No beers are ever harmed during the recording of our show. We may not like every beer we talk about or sample on the show. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try it. It's just like music. We all have our own tastes, so taste everythin

g... except Amber beer. That's just gross. We don't take awards and accolades too seriously, but we'll talk about it a lot. If you've listened long enough, you know us. We will cover home brewing to local, national, and international craft beer. Even through we generally despise it, me might even talk about Hard Seltzer, just because it grosses us out so much. We might even talk about crappy macro-beer because why not. We no longer do our Top 4 Lists any longer as we felt we covered just about every topic, so go back and listen to older episodes if you want to hear that stuff. We may occasionally whip out a Top "insert number here" list if something comes up or it's time for an update. Please feel free to contact us if you have a question, comment, or want to hear our opinions on something. We're pretty much based out of Portland, OR so that is our primary wheelhouse, but between the four of us, we've explored plenty of regional breweries. It wouldn't be a Brews for New Avenues live auction without some phenomenal experience packages, and our great friends from Belgium are delivering once again! The Belgian Experience Package is for two people and includes private tours and some bottles to go from Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen, Brasserie Cantillon, and Bokke! Additionally, the winner will receive two $1,000 vouchers to the airline of their choice to help get across the pond. Lodging and transportation once in Belgium is the responsibility of the winner.

Those who have been a part of these Belgian experiences before can vouch for how special they are. These breweries are such fantastic friends and supporters, and this is sure to be another opportunity of a lifetime for whoever bids the highest to further New Avenues for Youth’s mission to end youth homelessness!

Keeping the big bottles going for our live auction, a 3L of Bokke Geuze for New Avenues! This beer is a blend of 1, 2 & 3 year old lambic - 50% Oloroso barrel aged / 50% port barrel aged. Made exclusively for Brews for New Avenues.

There are only a few dozen 750ml bottles of this blend in existence, which would normally qualify something of that size for our live auction (especially considering the quality), but if you know Bokke, you know there’s always something bigger. Great thanks for their amazing generosity - cheers!

I know 99% of pubs, taphouses, and bars do a good job at cleaning their tap lines, but when they don't it is absolutely the worst and I won't go back. When you can turn a 4/5 beer into an undrinkable mess, you have failed. I won't say where. I've already addressed the issue with the place and notified the brewery whose delicious beer they destroyed.
