As Lake Oswego football continues on its path to a potential state title, the Lakers' LaMarcus Bell is having a standout year.
“We went into this season knowing that we could win it all,” Bell said.
Lake Oswego clinched the Three Rivers League Championship outright on Friday and is ranked No. 1 as they head into the OSAA Class 6A Open Football State Championship tournament, beginning on Nov. 8.
So much of the conversation around Oregon entering the Big Ten surrounded its ability to hang with the conference’s physicality, be it in the trenches or anywhere else on the field.
But on Saturday, in one of college football's hallowed venues, the Ducks were superior in every phase of their 38-17 victory over Michigan.
“Joining a new conference, establishing a little bit of dominance,” linebacker Bryce Boettcher said. “We’re new on the block, but we’re here to stay.”
