Transient Pictures is a full-service production company in New York City with a mission of producing innovative, socially-charged films. We create original documentaries for television and offer a wide range of production services. egan working together in 2005 on the award-winning documentary WALKING THE LINE, which screened in festivals around the world and broadcast nationally in six countries. Their latest feature documentary, GOOD FORTUNE, was acquired by the award-winning series POV and will receive a prime time national broadcast on PBS in 2010. They are currently producing The Legacy Project, a ten-part television series for the Dramatists Guild Fund profiling theater legends like Edward Albee, Arthur Laurents, and Stephen Sondheim and House of Rath, a one-off documentary about an eccentric home designer caught in the mortgage crisis for Cactus Three. Levine and Van Soest have produced a wide range of original content for broadcasters and arts organizations such as the Sundance Channel, Working Films, United States Artists, and the George St. The pair also co-founded the Brooklyn Filmmakers Collective, a non-profit organization dedicated to help fostering a vibrant filmmaking community in Brooklyn, New York.
