A column that won't rust for centuries:

Delhi is home to an ancient temple, the highlight of which is the Iron Column, or Pillar of Indra, whose history strikes the minds of both ordinary laymen and experienced scholars. The Phaistos Disk:

This artifact not only does not reveal its secrets, but even the opposite, as if leading researchers by the nose. In fact, every discovered detail about the Phaistos disk only adds to the questions, the answers to which are not yet available. The find was made in 1908 by members of the Italian archaeological expedition, who worked in the southern part of Crete on the excavations of the royal palace of the ancient city of Phaistos.

The artifact is a disk with 259 marks inscribed on it. Everything is absolutely enigmatic: the clay it is made of is simply not found on the island of Crete, and the text has never been solved. Even the technique of applying the signs to the disk is surprising: they are not traced with a wand, but as if stamped with special stamps.
