Ousted Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, pleaded not guilty to federal drug trafficking and other charges Monday before a judge in a federal courthouse in lower Manhattan.

They are being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being captured by U.S. forces on Saturday.

Their next court date is set for March 17.
