Nadiskubrehan ang duha ka bag-ong kaso sa mpox dinhi sa nasud, nga nagdala sa kinatibuk-ang ihap nga nahimong dose sukad niadtong miaging tuig.

Sumala sa Department of Health (DOH), ang ika-onse nga kaso usa ka 37 anyos nga lalaki gikan sa National Capital Region (NCR) nga nakabantay sa mga sintomas niadtong Agosto 20.

Nakasinati siya og mga rashes sa nawong, bukton, paa, palad, ug tiil. Base sa inisyal nga imbestigasyon, walay nalantawan nga direktang exposure ang maong pasyente sa bisan kinsa nga adunay susamang sintomas.

Giadmit siya sa usa ka pampublikong ospital niadtong Agosto 22, diin gikuhaan siya og sample sa panit nga gipadala sa Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) alang sa eksaminasyon.

Samtang, ang ikadose nga kaso usa ka 31 anyos nga lalaki nga taga-NCR nga nagsugod og pakita sa mga sintomas sukad niadtong Agosto 14.
