June 24, 2022 - SHS TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY

The Grade 12 - Class of 2022 officers and representatives initiated the said endeavor as one of their pre-graduation activities.

Also, Ormoc City Police Station 3 representatives, DRRM school coordinator - Mr. Narciso Ticong, Kagawad in Charge in Education - Hon. Nestor Grajo, and SHS faculty participated the said activity.

The participants planted bamboo plants and installed plant protectors to ensure growth. The tree planting activity was held at Tzu Chi Village, Brgy. Lilo-an, Ormoc City.

June 24, 2022 - Grade 10 CGP Culminating Activity

Grade 10 sudents were encouraged to wear the attire/outfit that represent their desired career path in the future. The school principal, Mrs. Leona G. De la Cruz, gave her welcome remarks to all the participants.

Also, Mr. Jimboy Montecillo shared his inspiring journey as an alumnus of Lilo-an NHS and motivated the learners to do the things that would lead them to their desired career paths in the future. Mrs. Regina Leona Delos Santos, PDO II- YFD, discussed important points about career guidance so that, learners will be directed in their quest to choosing an appropriate career path.

Representatives of various career/course were chosen for the search of Mr. and Ms. Career Guidance.

June 15, 2022 - CGP CULMINATING ACTIVITY and TVL WORK IMMERSION CULMINATING ACTIVITY

The school conducted CGP culminating activity in the morning. Resource speakers discussed the four main career exits. This is to guide the learners on what career path/exit they will choose after they graduate from SHS.

In the afternoon, TVL Work Immersion culminating activity dubbed as "Let's Get Glam," was undertaken to showcase and apply the various competencies that the learners have learned in the course of their work immersion.

Also, Ma'am Ma. Jereza C. Matiga,PSDS-District V, and Ma'am Maria Cristina N. Labor, EPS-ALS attended the said activity.

June 17, 2022 - District V was hailed the 3rd Place Winner of "Pasundayaw Dos: ORMOCANON-HONG SUGILANON DISCOVERING ORMOCANON UNTOLD STORIES Dance Competition" held at Ormoc City Superdome.

The team depicted the storyline "Misteryo sa Langub" - an untold story of Brgy. RM Tan's Cave.

June 16, 2022 - Ormoc City Division held the Year-end Academic Competition in partnership with the Local Government of Ormoc at OCCS.

The activity was participated by the champions representing the ten (10) districts of Ormoc City Division. Over 300 elementary and secondary learners actively participated in the activity.

In her talk during the program's opening ceremony, Dr. Marilyn Siao, Ormoc City SDS, lauded the efforts of the learners, coaches, schools, districts, and stakeholders for their continued commitment and support to attain meaningful learning.
"Your participation in this competition will give you more chances to learn and discover new strategies, new techniques and approaches for self-betterment", she conveyed.

Dr. Siao also stressed her gratitude to the Local Government of Ormoc headed by Mayor Richard Gomez for its immense support to the educational programs and projects of the city division.

Councilor incharge for Education, Atty. Nolito Quilang, who graced the activity, expressed his delight to witness the eagerness of the contestants to showcase their academic skills.
"The academic activities should also be active to balance the extra-curricular and the co-curricular", he voiced.

Atty. Quilang also challenged the participants to be a team worker and to take the academic competition as an opportunity to be exposed to further learning.

The contested areas in the Year-end Academic Competition were:
Grade 1-3: Spelling (MTB), Literacy (MTB), Numeracy (MTB), Spelling (Filipino), Literacy (Filipino), Spelling (English), and Literacy (English).

Grade 4-12: English Quiz Bee, Math Quiz Show, and Science Quiz Bee.

The top three (3) winners of the Year-end Academic Competition were awarded by cash prices:
1st Place - 5000 Php;
2nd Place - 3000 Php; and
3rd Place - 1000 Php,
medals, and certificates.

The medals, cash prices, and the snacks provided to the participants were all sponsored by the Local Government of Ormoc.

LOOK: Entrepreneurship Fair 2022

This activity promotes one of the important aspects of school curriculum - to recognize the importance of "entrepreneurship" as a viable career choice.

Also, it encourages senior high school students to make meaning of their Entrepreneurship subject as they exhibit innovative ideas, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

The activity was initiated under the guidance and effort of Ma'am Edalyn Canete, the Entrepreneurship subject teacher.
