86 ANYOS NGA LOLO GIPATAY SA IYANG APO SA VILLABA LEYTE

• Tomorrow: Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Sorsogon, Masbate, Eastern Visayas, the northern portion of Negros Occidental, the northern portion of Negros Oriental, the northeastern portion of Iloilo, the northeastern portion of Capiz, Cebu, and Bohol. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Romblon and the rest of Visayas.
• Under these conditions and considering significant antecedent rainfall, scattered to widespread flooding (including flooding) and rain-induced landslides are expected especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps.

Severe Winds
• Winds may reach gale-force in strength in any of the areas where Wind Signal No. 2 is hoisted throughout the passage of Tropical Storm “AGATON”.
• Strong winds (strong breeze to near gale conditions) will be experienced within any of the areas where Wind Signal No. 1 is currently in effect.

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS

• In the next 24 hours, rough to very rough seas (2.8 to 5.0 m) will prevail over the seaboards of areas where Wind Signals No. 2 and 1 are hoisted. These conditions may be risky for most seacrafts. Mariners of small seacrafts are advised to remain in port or take shelter, while those operating larger vessels are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions.
• In the next 24 hours, moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.4 m) will also prevail over the remaining seaboards of the country that are not under any wind signal or gale warning. These conditions may be risky for those using small seacrafts. Mariners are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
• Today through early Tuesday, “AGATON” is forecast to move erratically or remain almost stationary over the areas of eastern portion of Leyte and the southern portion of Samar Island and its coastal waters due to weak steering environment. By Tuesday afternoon or evening, gradually accelerating turn east southeastward or eastward is expected as “AGATON” undergoes a binary interaction with the incoming tropical cyclone with international name “MALAKAS”.
• “AGATON” will likely remain a tropical storm for most of the forecast period, although the possibility of being downgraded into a tropical depression is not ruled out due to potential impact of land interaction on the tropical storm. “AGATON” is forecast to degenerate into a remnant low by late Wednesday or early Thursday as “MALAKAS” begins to assimilate its circulation.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.

Guys, please help me reach this post to anyone in Hinunangan, Southern Leyte. We lost contact sa amung parents karun lang, all their numbers kay out of coverage area na. We called the LGUs hotline but all numbers kay out of coverage area napud. Wala naka evacuate akung parents so they're stuck at home and senior citizen na silang duha. The name of my parents are ALBERTO D. OMANG and DORINDA R. OMANG, the address is PUROK 1, CALAYUGAN, HINUNANGAN, SOUTHERN LEYTE.

Heavy Rainfall
• Tonight through tomorrow early morning: Light to moderate with at times heavy rains are possible over Caraga, Davao Oriental, Eastern Samar, Samar, and Southern Leyte due to the trough and the outermost rain bands of “ODETTE”.
• Tomorrow early morning through Friday early morning: Heavy to intense with at times torrential rains over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, the northern portion of Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, the northern portion of Agusan del Sur, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Cebu, Siquijor, Negros Oriental, and Negros Occidental. Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Leyte, the southern portions of Eastern Samar and Samar, Iloilo, Capiz, Aklan, Antique, Guimaras, the northern portion of Zamboanga del Norte and the rest of Caraga. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Bicol Region, the rest of Zamboanga del Norte, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, and the rest of Visayas and Northern Mindanao
• Friday early morning through Saturday early morning: Heavy to intense with at times torrential rains over Western Visayas, and the northern and central portions of Palawan including Cuyo and Cagayancillo Islands. Moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, and Negros Oriental. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Bicol Region, Zamboanga del Norte, Quezon, Aurora, the eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela, and the rest of Visayas.
• Under these conditions, scattered to widespread flooding (including flash floods) and rain-induced landslides are expected especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazard as identified in hazard maps, and in localities with significant antecedent rainfall.

Severe Winds
• Gale- to storm-force strength will be experienced within any of the areas where TCWS #2 is in effect. This may result in generally light to moderate damage to structures and vegetation.
• Strong winds (strong breeze to near gale) with higher gusts will be experienced within any of the areas where TCWS #1 is currently in effect during the passage of the typhoon. This may generally bring up to very light damage to structures and vegetation.
• In succeeding bulletins, hoisted wind signals in some localities of the country will be upgraded as “ODETTE” moves closer. The highest level of wind signal that may be hoisted during the passage of “ODETTE” is TCWS #3 due to possible destructive typhoon-force winds in localities near or along the path of this tropical cyclone.

Coastal Inundation
Moderate to high risk of storm surge reaching up to 3.0 m in height may cause flooding in the low-lying coastal localities of Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Agusan del Norte, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Negros Occidental, Guimaras, and some localities in Camiguin, Central Visayas, Panay Island, and the northern portion of Palawan. For more information, refer to Storm Surge Warning #1 issued at 8:00 PM today.

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
• In the next 24 hours, moderate to high seas (1.2 to 7.5 m) will be experienced over the seaboards of areas where TCWS is in effect (especially in the open sea areas). These conditions are risky for all types of sea vessels. Mariners are advised to remain in port or take shelter in port until winds and waves subside.
• Under the influence of Typhoon “ODETTE” and the prevailing Northeast Monsoon, a Gale Warning remains in effect for the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon, the western seaboard of Visayas, and the eastern seaboard of Mindanao not under any wind signal. For more information, refer to Gale Warning #48 issued at 5:00 PM today.
• In the next 24 hours, moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 m) will also prevail over the remaining seaboards of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the western and northern seaboards of Mindanao that are not under any wind signal. These conditions are risky for those using small seacrafts. Mariners are advised to take precautionary measures when venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigating in these conditions.

TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
• On the forecast track, the center of “ODETTE” is forecast to make landfall in the vicinity of Surigao Provinces or southern portion of Eastern Visayas tomorrow afternoon. Afterwards, the center of “ODETTE” will continue moving generally westward and cross several provinces in Central and Western Visayas regions before emerging over the Sulu Sea on Friday morning. After passing near or over the Cuyo archipelago, this tropical cyclone is forecast to cross the northern portion of Palawan on Friday afternoon or evening before emerging over the West Philippine Sea.
• Further intensification is expected today through tomorrow as the typhoon crosses the Philippine Sea and may reach a peak intensity of 155 km/h prior to making landfall tomorrow afternoon. This tropical cyclone may see some slight weakening as it crosses the Visayas and Palawan, but it is forecast to remain within the typhoon category. Re-intensification is likely once “ODETTE” emerges over the West Philippine Sea.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.
