Atom & Anne Mediaworks would like to extend our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to the family of Director Tikoy Aguiluz. We join you in mourning his loss. May he now rest with God. 🙏 🙏 🙏

Tikoy Aguiluz was a Philippine Cinema pioneer. A co-founder of the UP Film Center, he was a fearless innovator and a leader in the Philippine Indie and Alternative Cinema movement. He founded the Cinemanila International Film Festival, and was awarded the Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Arts et des Letrres by the French Government. His 1996 film, "Segurista” was chosen as the country’s entry to the Academy Awards.

Our President and CEO Anne will be a guest panelist today for the Film Development Council of the Philippines' Film Talk, which will tackle the challenges women face and how films serve as a medium in shedding light on feminine issues-- particularly in opposing gender-based violence.

The panel will be composed of filmmakers Anne Prado-Magadia and Celina Mae Medina with multi-awarded actress Ruby Ruiz, and will be moderated by Daphne Chiu, president and COO of TBA Studios.

The Film Talks at 5 PM comes after the FREE SCREENINGS featuring two films that highlight the significance of film in advocating for women’s rights.

Atom & Anne Mediaworks was invited to participate in Cinemalaya Konek to have one on one meetings with upcoming Cinemalaya filmmakers. A networking event hosted by the CCP, the Cinemalaya Foundation and the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the matchmaking affair pairs film projects currently in development with possible collaborators and/or co-producers.

We would like to thank all the filmmakers who pitched their projects to us. We are excited by the possibilities we discussed. Hopefully we can collaborate soon! 😊
