Our film will have its world premiere at the Movies That Matter Festival on the 24th of March.

And we have the honour to be this years editions opening film!

The Movies That Matter Festival is a platform for engaging stories that are aimed to create impact. 
And we are extremely proud to be part of the festival alongside so many other important stories the world needs to see. 

This years edition of festival will take place between the 24th of March and 1st of April. 

Screenings will take place in The Hague as well as in various satellite locations throughout the Netherlands.

A great chance to already see our film with English subtitles in Dutch cinemas before release on April 6th!

When the talented asked us te create a video for her new song she had one special request on the table. It was to be made entirely by an all female crew. From pre- to post production, in front and behind the camera. With all the talented women around us, that wouldn’t be a problem at all. Never the less the whole proces was in someway different than your usual day on set. With director beautifully capturing the vibe, it makes the track even more powerful. Our second release this year is part of the BNNVARA, VPRO and NTR project ‘Onze straat’ in which six different directors tell six different stories that all take place in the same street. We contributed with a father & son story made by a father and son team. Director David Eilander teamed up with his dad Jan Eilander to write Smartlap. An emotional and comedic drama with lots of music. Arie, a bar owner and accordion player (Jack Wouterse) who’s seen better days, tries to keep his pub from being gentrified. When his son Rody comes back from rehab, Arie has to fight to save either his son, his pub or himself. But he cannot save all three. To top off the father and son theme, Rody is played by Chris Peters, and his father Ton is the D.O.P. 🤯

As vrijdag lanceren wij de tv-film Smartlap, de afsluiter van ‘Onze Straat’, een project van BNNVARA, VPRO en NTR, waarbij zes getalenteerde regisseurs zes films maken die allemaal in dezelfde straat afspelen. Onze bijdrage is een vader-en-zoon-film gemaakt door vader en zoon. Regisseur David Eilander schreef samen met zijn vader Jan Eilander het scenario. Een film met een lach, een traan en heel veel muziek. Arie (Jack Wouterse), een kroegbaas en accordeonist op z’n retour, kan de veranderende tijd niet meer bijbenen. Wanneer zijn zoon Rody thuiskomt uit een afkickkliniek, moet Arie vechten voor zijn kroeg, zichzelf en zijn zoon. Maar hij kan niet alle drie redden. Om het vader en zoon thema rond te maken, Rody wordt gespeeld door Chris Peters en zijn vader Ton is de D.O.P. 🤯
