DEPRESSION IS REAL
Depression, a complex mental health condition, permeates every aspect of an individual's life, impacting emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Its manifestations vary widely, from persistent sadness and loss of interest to physical symptoms like fatigue and changes in appetite. While situational factors such as trauma, loss, or stress can trigger depressive episodes, genetics, brain chemistry, and personality traits also play significant roles.

Depression often engenders a sense of isolation, as those affected may struggle to articulate their experiences or fear being stigmatized. This isolation exacerbates the condition, perpetuating a cycle of despair. Moreover, depression can lead to serious consequences, including impaired cognitive function, strained relationships, substance abuse, and even suicidal ideation.

Treatment approaches range from therapy and medication to lifestyle changes and support networks. Therapy, particularly cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), helps individuals challenge negative thought patterns and develop coping strategies. Medications like antidepressants rebalance neurotransmitters in the brain, alleviating symptoms for many.

However, accessing treatment remains a challenge for many due to barriers like cost, stigma, and lack of resources. Addressing depression effectively requires not only individualized treatment but also societal efforts to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and improve access to care. By fostering understanding and support, we can create a more compassionate and inclusive environment where those affected by depression feel empowered to seek help and reclaim their well-being.

Housing sector was opened to the private investors and Lagos became the highest destination for real estate investors in Nigeria.

Still On The Matter ...

WATCH And LISTEN To This Video Again; ATTENTIVELY & With An OPEN MIND To The End ...

If you think Buhari and APC failed, bring the answer script of your candidate, your own Presidents, PDP and PDP lite let us compare.

It is by no means uhuru but we are surely on course. Verified.

Meanwhile I insist that the only person worthy of our votes next year is one who acknowledges where we were, knows and appreciates where we are today, understands where we need to go next and one who has the verifiable track records, antecedents and capacity to move us upward and forward from there.

We need 'we have done'. Not "we do have a plan; trust me, we do, we do".

I humbly and respectfully restate; with every sense of patriotism and objectivity that no other combination that we have been offered fits that bill better than the Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima Mustapha combination.

GO and VERIFY.

2023: TINUBU'S RECORDS AND CREDENTIALS FORMIDABLE - Group

By Kadiri Abdulrahman
August 20, 2022

A political support group, ‘Buharists for Tinubu (B4T)’ says Sen. Bola Tinubu, stands the best chance to win the 2023 presidential election.

Convener of B4T, Dr Uche Diala, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday, August 20 in Abuja.

Tinubu is the presidential flagbearer of the country’s ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to Diala, Tinubu is the candidate to beat due to his nationalist stature.

“The chances of Tinubu in the 2023 presidential polls could not be any brighter.

“With an exceptional track record of performance, exceptional leadership credentials, a pan-Nigerian and nationalist stature, there is no surprise why he is the candidate to beat.

“His pro-democracy credentials and his performance as governor of Lagos state clearly stand him out,” he said.

He, however, said there was need to make effort to convince more Nigerians on the immense development potentials of Tinubu succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari.

“All that is needed is to get even more Nigerians to see the need to elect a proven achiever.

“We shall respectfully make many more Nigerians see that to ensure a landslide victory,” he vowed.

Diala described Tinubu as detribalised, self-confident, liberal and independent minded; with a nationalistic flair.

“These are exceptionally strong qualities that undoubtedly qualify him as the best suited of all the candidates for a time as this,” he said.

On the controversy surrounding his choice of former Borno governor, Sen. Kashim Shettima as running mate, Diala said that the choice was guided purely by political consideration.

“I totally appreciate and respect the sentiments of those Nigerians who feel uncomfortable about the ‘same faith ticket, especially the sincere ones.

“But, like I have said on several other fora, it is a needless controversy.

That was a purely political decision; one that was not

Frontline Presidential aspirant and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has shared his manifesto for the transformation of Nigeria if elected president of the country.

The APC presidential aspirant, according to a press statement signed by Bayo Onanuga, Director of Media and Communication, said his team will lead Nigeria to a new era of economic prosperity, peace, security and political stability.

Tinubu, the Governor of Lagos State between 1999-2007, presented his vision within five thematic areas.

He promised to improve security by decentralising the policing of the country and creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs simultaneously.

He promised to transform Nigeria into an enviable country and one where there will be justice, peace and prosperity for all, with a “robust economy”.

Titled ‘My Vision for Nigeria’, Tinubu promised in the document, “a nation transformed into greatness, the pride of Africa, a role model for all black people worldwide, and respected among all other countries.

“A vibrant and thriving democracy and a prosperous nation with a fast-growing industrial base, capable of producing the most basic needs of the people and exporting to other countries of the world.

“A country with a robust economy, where prosperity is broadly shared by all irrespective of class, region, and religion.

“A nation where its people enjoy all the basic needs, including a safe and secure environment, abundant food, affordable shelter, health care, and quality

You Gain Nothing From Ethnic Hatred Or Religious Bias - Professor Pat Utomi

I'm a Christian from Niger Delta, but most of the things I've ever achieved occurred through the help of non-Christians and non-Niger Deltans.

1. I was actually looking for a way to get a banking license for a wealthy Nigerian so I approached one Fulani prince whom I've never met before. After telling him my mission, he told me that I should register my own bank instead of being another person's agent for registering banks. I was shocked, wondering how an ordinary me will be able to afford the process of owning a bank. The Fulani prince told me that I should not worry, that he will get me a banking license and even arrange for wealthy Nigerians to patronise me as a help for me without demanding for any kobo. That was how Platinum Bank came into being through the help of a northern Nigerian I never knew in my life

2. I was a young graduate during Shagari Adminstration when one man came to my residence in a massive car with escorts and told me that the powerful Yoruba Chief Bayo Kuku wanted to see me in his supermansion in Ikoyi. I got there and the great Chief Bayo Kuku told me that he has always read what I wrote on taxation policies and he had personally discussed me with Nigerian Vice President Alex Ekwueme. He proceeded to ask me how much I will receive if I was told to write a single position paper for Ekwueme on taxation policies. Then, the price of Volkswagen Beetle was N2,000 so I told Chief Bayo Kuku it will cost Ekwueme N2,000. Chief Bayo Kuku burst into laughter and said : "...so, all those your grammar is only worth the price of a Volkswagen Beetle...?"

Chief Bayo Kuku then opened a briefcase, brought out N10,000 cash (brand new Mercedes Benz was then sold for N5,000) and gave me to write just one position paper, even though I've never met him in my life, and he was not even from my tribe

3. Chief Bayo Kuku took me to Vice President Ekwueme, and within one week of kno

The case for Shettima - In Touch, The Nation newspaper, 18/07/2022

“Unless we love the truth, we cannot know it,” Blaise Paschal.

Some have mounted a firewall against the truth about Kashim Shettima. They may hear the fact, but they go deaf. When they see it, they go blind. Like Prophet Daniel, when they read it, they don’t understand. When they feel, they become like Apostle Paul’s prophesy about this age and men whose consciences have been pierced with a hot iron.

The SSS under an adversarial Jonathan government reported in 2012 that the militant Kabiru Sokoto came to Government House to kidnap Shettima’s children. He failed. Shettima was the governor of Borno then and he ferreted his children out of sight. If he was part of them, why did they want his kids? They attacked his convoy. Boko Haram leader Shekau named him among their wanted men. All of these made headlines.

In another instance, I unearthed a footage from a 2017 interview I had with him in Eko Hotel when I interrogated him on the Christians under his watch. No one knew this day would come when his tolerance will endure bigoted scrutiny. The footage is now viral. In it, he confirmed the testimonies of the Borno CAN chairman, Mohammed. Boko Haram torched churches to ashes. Shettima rebuilt. Sixteen of them rose out of the ruins. He had Christian perm secs and commissioners, an Igbo and Urhobo men as advisers. All of these were firsts in Borno history, virginal in the north. He sent the state pastors on pilgrimage, and devoted special funds for displaced Christians. His personal chef was a man named Peter, from Cross River, and he followed him to his home in Abuja. He trains his children. This could be testimonies of a Christian governor, but how many governors who profess Christ have this pious fortitude, or anything close to his empathy. He paid the Christians personal visits.

They want to give him a bad name in order to hang him. In their obsession with what they call Muslim-Muslim ticket,

NEVER LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT

Our Social Media Walls/Pages/Groups are not just for fun or decoration. If any ignorant or mischievous one walks in, be sure to set that one aright. Otherwise don't make the post or create or keep the platform.

Because many are deliberately looking to use your platform to market their ignorance, hate, lies and bigotry.

Never let any ignorant person or mischief maker go without being straightened out. If you can't appropriately put him or her in their place, delete the comment.

That's how we will help to fight hate, fake news and bigotry in our society. It is a civic duty.

Festus Keyamo:
Govt. doesn’t exist to assuage the egos of religious leaders, but to bring about development for everyone.
Today, most religious leaders in Nigeria go to Dubai and the USA for shopping & holidays when the UAE is being governed by Muslims & the USA is being governed by Christians.
There’s no country in the world where history tells us that its development was as a result of ‘balanced’ presidential tickets (in terms of religion) over the years; countries developed as a result of visionary leadership and not because they pandered to some religious sentiments."

ON ANNOUNCING SEN KASHIM SHETTIMA AS MY RUNNING MATE FOR THE 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS

“As president, I hope to govern this nation toward uncommon progress. This will require innovation. It will require steps never before taken. It will also require decisions that are politically difficult and rare.”

“Our focus, therefore, must be on getting the job done; and that means getting the very best and competent people to do it. In this crucial moment, where so much is at stake, we must prioritize leadership, competence, and the ability to work as a team over other considerations.”

If I am to be that type of President, I must begin by being that type of candidate. Let me make the bold and innovative decision not to win political points but to move the nation and our party’s campaign closer to the greatness that we were meant to achieve”...

“Today, I announce my selection with pride because I have made it not based on religion or to please one community or the other. I made this choice because I believe this is the man who can help me bring the best governance to all Nigerians, period, regardless of their religious affiliation or considerations of ethnicity or region.”
“Here is where politics ends, and true leadership must begin. “

PDP is unfair to Wike, my 24% boyfriend.
At a time Sen. Modu Sheriff, a billionaire with very long money came and pocketed PDP, with no one to challenge him, it was Wike who fought him to standstill and rescued the party into the hands of Uche Secondus, his ally.

He used his Rivers state money to brush the tattered umbrella and revived it with the hope of installing Aminu Tambuwal. Never did he know Tambuwal is a gre+en sn!ake. Orhue!

Now, 14 out of 17 members recommended him to be the V.P candidate while only 3 voted for the loan master; Okowa. In their usual way of taking small numbers as greater than big numbers, 3 became greater than 14!

It was Sunday Awoniyi that described the PDP as a den of score!pions. They sting each other and backst*ab themselves. Izighe.

Wike is back to Nigeria and in few days to come, we will hear from him. Ogbu!

Things have fallen apart in the PDP and the centre cannot hold. I have spoken.
