THREE KEY ELEMENTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

Pastor Chris Says
โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
The nature of God has manifold descriptions, and one of such is that which demonstrates His rightness and perfection. God just canโ€™t be wrong, because He is God. Heโ€™s the yardstick for measuring what is right; the reference for rightness. In everything and all situations, Heโ€™s perfect, just and right. Thatโ€™s His character!

Secondly, righteousness is the nature of God thatโ€™s imparted to the human spirit to produce in him the rightness of God. Righteousness is a gift, and when God imparts a human spirit with it, that person will immediately have the rightness of God in his or her heart and just know what is right.

Thirdly, righteousness gives or produces right standing. Right standing is that ability to stand before God without condemnation or inferiority. No ordinary man can stand before God until God gives him the ability to stand in His presence and talk with Him without fear, inferiority, or condemnation.

Someone might ask, what if I feel condemned or inferior before God? That you feel a sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority in the presence of God doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re guilty, condemned or inferior. Let me tell you what to do if you feel overwhelmed by such negative emotions: get into the Word of God and begin studying and meditating on the Word. Before long, the Word will rid you of those wrong emotions of the senses.

The Word of God is a cleanser (John 15:3); it builds your faith and confidence (Acts 20:32). Also remember what the Bible says: โ€œFor if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all thingsโ€ (1 John 3:20). Godโ€™s Word is greater than your emotions. It imparts to you the truth about who you are. That knowledge destroys every sense of guilt, condemnation, or inferiority, and inspires the confidence of the Spirit in you. Hallelujah!

Thank you, Lord, for the gift of righteousness. I rejoice because I have your nature in me, which produces rightness in me and gives me the ability to stand before you without fear, condemnation or inferiority. Your Word imparts to me the confidence of the Spirit, and I walk in the boldness and assurance that come from knowing that my righteousness is of you. Hallelujah!

Philippians 3:9; And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Romans 8:1-4; There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
[2] For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
[3] For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
[4] That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

๐Ÿ“– The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever (2 John 1:1-2).

Pastor Chris Says
โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
If youโ€™d read the entire second epistle of John youโ€™d observe something in the first four verses: the word "truth" is emphasized repeatedly with a total of five mentions. Clearly, there's a significance to this. Then in his third epistle, he continues with the same emphasis on โ€œthe truth.โ€ Why so much emphasis on โ€œthe truthโ€?

In John 18:37, Jesus told Pilate that He came to bear witness to the truth, and everyone that is of the truth hears His voice. Pilate then asked Him, "What is truth?" John must have really pondered the answer. He must have recalled what Jesus said in the fourteenth chapter, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life..." (John 14:6). He also would have recalled Jesus' prayer to the Father in John 17, when He said, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" (John 17:17).

So, John wasn't merely captivated, intrigued or enthused by truth; he embraced it fully. He related and fellowshipped with โ€œthe Truth.โ€ In 1 John 1:1-2, he talked about seeing and handling the Word of life, and the Word is truth!

So, when Jesus walked the earth, He embodied God's truth. He was the manifestation of truth, the will of the Father unveiled to us. If you ever wanted to know the will of God, look at Jesus. If itโ€™s true that Jesus was the manifestation of the truth, what does that make you? Paul, in 2 Corinthians 4:2, said something profound about himself and his companions, declaring that by the manifestation of the truth they commended themselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

What Paul was saying in essence is, "This is our lifeโ€” weโ€™re the manifestation of the truth." Yes; you are! You were born to express the will of the Father to the world. This is God's vision and plan for you. Your life and your everyday walk is the manifestation of the truth. This is how He sees you, and this is the life that you must live. When you wake up every day, declare, "Iโ€™m the manifestation of the truth. Iโ€™m the manifestation of the will of God." Hallelujah!

Iโ€™m the manifestation of the will of the Father; I live each day in alignment with Godโ€™s truth and my life reflects the glory and realities of the Kingdom of God. Iโ€™m born of Godโ€™s truth and uphold truth in every circumstance and situation, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

WORSHIPโ€”A CALL TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT
โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
๐Ÿ“– For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh (Philippians 3:3).

Pastor Chris Says
โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
As referenced in our previous study, true worship is of the spirit; a spirit-to-Spirit fellowship or communion. True worship has nothing to do with how you feel or how melodious a song might sound. And thatโ€™s where some have missed it. An entire service or worship segment could go by without some Christians truly responding to God with their spirits. They may sing along and go through the motions of worship, but their minds are distracted, and their spirits aren't engaged.

This disconnect happens because they haven't learned how to discipline their spirits to respond to Him with their spirits. For example, singing to God is more than just singing songs or mouthing words with our lips. It's about engaging your heart and spirit in worship. Similarly, dancing in the flesh will never help. True worship goes beyond external gesturesโ€”it involves the inward attitude and posture of our hearts.

Whenever youโ€™re worshipping the Lord, whether on your own or with others in church, the first thing is to quickly withdraw your thoughts from distractions. Actively and immediately engage with your spirit, and focus on the Lord, worshipping Him in spirit and truth, and not controlled by the rhythm of the drums and instruments of music.

The Lord Jesus said, โ€œBut the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truthโ€ (John 4:23-24). So, consciously direct your heart to offer Him genuine praise, adoration, and thanksgiving from the depths of your heart.

Remember, weโ€™re called to walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16 says, โ€œThis I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.โ€ Worshipping the Lord with your spirit should be your natural and habitual way of life. Always remember the call to "walk in the Spirit" whenever you worship the Lord; it removes worship from a superficial exercise. Rather, it becomes, for you, the recognition and appreciation of the goodness, blessings, kindness and righteousness of God. It is the thankful confession of His character, love and grace.

DIVINE WORSHIP
โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
๐Ÿ“– For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son (Romans 1:9).

Pastor Chris Says
โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”โ”
What a remarkable statement Paul made in the verse above. It's amazing to serve God, not with the flesh, but with your spirit. This is true divine worship, where all you doโ€”your whole lifeโ€”is a life of worship. That's why God's people everywhere must be taught and trained to respond to Him with their spirits because faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

In the New Testament, thereโ€™re several words translated into English as "worship." One of them is 'latreuo,' which means to serve God as seen in Romans 1:9. Another word thatโ€™s more familiar to many is 'proskuneo,' which is often translated as worship and refers to an act of worship.

For example, in Matthew 4 during the temptation of Jesus, when the devil offered Him the kingdoms of the world, Jesus responded, "...Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship (proskuneo) the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" (Matthew 4:10). Here, worship is an actโ€”a physical expression like lifting hands, singing, bowing, or prostrating oneself.

Then there's another one, which is a state of mind, described by the word 'sebomai.' This denotes a religious disposition or mindset, where one might engage in certain religious practices out of tradition or reverence without necessarily knowing or loving God deeply.

This was the case with the woman named Lydia in Thyatira, described in the Bible as one who worshipped Godโ€”a term indicating religious reverence rather than an actual relationship. Jesus addressed such practices, saying, "This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me" (Matthew 15:8). But she gave heed to Paulโ€™s message and was converted (Acts 16:14).

When hearts are distant from God, worship becomes vain, as it substitutes doctrines of men for true spiritual connection. But true worship, however, involves serving God with your spiritโ€”an intimate, heartfelt communion with Himโ€”aligning your spirit with His in genuine devotion. Hallelujah!

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truthโ€ฆ (Psalm 138:2).

Oftentimes, people like to distinguish between praise and worship because they think they have major differences. But not really; praise is worship. Praise is one of the things you do when you worship God. In fact, itโ€™s the highest part of worship. The simple difference between themis that worship includes other things you do for the Lord. For example, your service to God is an act of worship.

Once you clearly understand praise as the highest part of worship, youโ€™ll realize how important it is in your relationship with God. The Bible says, โ€œYe also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christโ€ (1 Peter 2:5).

The Church is a holy priesthood assigned to offer upspiritual sacrifices to God, and there are different kinds of sacrifices. An example is when you give up something valuable for God or you volunteer your time through missionary activities. But the highest sacrifices are thesacrifices of praise.

The Bible says, โ€œBy him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his nameโ€ (Hebrews 13:15). Notice that it says weโ€™re to offer our sacrifice of praise toGod continually, not just once in a while. This shows just how important it is. Paul describes it as the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His Name.

David made a similar reference in Psalm 69:30-31. He said, โ€œI will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.โ€ Did you see that? He said, โ€œI will magnify him with thanksgiving.โ€

The next verse lets us know that carrying out this act of praise to God is a massive testimony; it says, โ€œThe humble shall see this, and be gladโ€ฆโ€ (Psalm 69:32). Even now, give thanks to the Lord. Praise Him lavishly from your heart; think of something you want to thank Him for and then go ahead to praise Him profusely.

Say these after me, 'Dear Father, thank you for your glorious presence in my life. Youโ€™ve ordained all things to work together for my good, and my heart continually overflows with thanks and praise because this is your will in Christ Jesus concerning me. Iโ€™m triumphant in all situations and circumstances of life; and for this I praise you, in Jesusโ€™ Name. Amen.

Psalm 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for [he is] good: for his mercy [endureth] for ever.

Psalm 145:21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.

Psalm 147:7 Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it (John 14:14).

It doesnโ€™t make sense to believe in God and not believe in miracles. A Christian who doesnโ€™t believe in miracles doesnโ€™t know who God is. A miracle is the supernatural intervention of God in the natural affairs of men, an intervention that transcends human reasoning, ability, science, and logic.

Therefore, to believe in God and not expect miracles is a contradiction. So, believe and expect miracles. The Christian life is a day-to-day experience of, and journey in the supernatural. When you speak, your words arenโ€™t ordinary, for they contain power, the miracle element to affect and influence your world and cause a change. In Mark 11:23, Jesus said, โ€œYou shall have what you say.โ€ In our opening verse, He said, โ€œIf ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.โ€

The underlined word is the Greek, โ€œPoiฤ“ล,โ€ and it means, โ€œmakeโ€; Jesus is saying, โ€œIโ€™ll make it in my Name; even if that thing doesnโ€™t exist, Iโ€™ll make it happen.โ€ See how He loves us! It delights the Lord to bless you and do good things for you. Itโ€™s His joy to answer your prayers and grant your heartโ€™s desires. He said in Luke 12:32, โ€œFear not, little flock; for it is your Fatherโ€™s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.โ€ He can, and will do anything for you, because you believe.

If thereโ€™s a tumour in your body, for instance, declare, โ€œTumour, in the Name of Jesus, you canโ€™t stay in this body; I cut you out!โ€ If thereโ€™s been a problem with your heart, command it to function normally, in the Name of Jesus. If itโ€™s about your finances, command a change, and itโ€™ll be so. Declare what you want. Voice your miracle. Create and sustain your victorious life with your faith-filled words.

Say these after me, 'I reign and rule in this life, continually walking in the supernatural! Everything I require for life and godliness is available to me by free course! My life is a daily expression of the supernatural, because I function by the Spirit. Blessed be God!

WEDNESDAY WHOLENESS.

SAY IT LOUD.
Through my faith-filled words, I create whatsoever I desire; I walk in divine health, protection, peace and prosperity. I live above the elements and debilitating forces of this world because I live in Christ, seated with Him far above Satan and the wicked forces of darkness. I reign triumphantly over all the negativities of life, in Jesusโ€™ Name. Amen.

HE KNOWS THE TRUTH ABOUT EVERYTHING

๐Ÿ“–Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

Oftentimes, when people get sick, many arenโ€™t aware of the reason for their trouble. They try all kinds of drugs, some of which even cause more problems than they realize. When nothing changes, they begin to wonder, โ€œWhy am I going through these difficulties? Why am I feeling so sick? Why is this happening to me?โ€

Well, the Holy Spirit was sent to guide you into all truth, including the truth about your health. He can help you know the problem and also the solution. Did you know the Holy Spirit is a healer? Yes, He is. The Bible says, "if He lives in you, He will vitalize your physical body." It doesnโ€™t matter that youโ€™ve been diagnosed with some disease; now that He lives in you, thereโ€™s the guarantee for a change. Glory to God!

Maybe youโ€™re a student or youโ€™re carrying out research for a project; the Holy Spirit is the Teacher inside you. You need to listen to Him because He knows everything. Heโ€™s the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. He can fill you with the knowledge of Godโ€™s will, with all wisdom and spiritual understanding concerning anything. Just ask Him.

The Holy Spirit has come to help you in all aspects of life, whether in business, in family, or in your finances. Heโ€™s come to help you gain the mastery, to make you a wonder. Your greatest asset while youโ€™re here in this world is the Holy Spirit. Heโ€™ll teach you the Word of God and remind you of things youโ€™ve learned.

The Holy Spirit guides you in prayer and shows you the future. So, with Him, you can never lose or fail. Encourage His work and ministry in your life by acknowledging that Heโ€™s in you and with you always. You can speak with Him more than you do anyone else. Thank Him for being your ever-present teacher, helper and guide.

Dear Father, thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit in my life. Iโ€™m always attentive to His guidance, as He leads me in victory in every aspect of my life: in my finances, health, job, family, relationships, and ministry. I walk in wisdom and discernment, always knowing the steps to take as I fulfil my destiny in Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

John 16:13 AMPC; But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].

John 14:26; But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Romans 8:26-27 AMPC; So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
[27] And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God's will.
