Today on Sunday 31st December 2023 , the Member of Parliament for Mwanza West Constituency , Hon Joyce Chitsulo MP had an end of the year meeting with 50 Senior Group Village Headmen ( SGVH) and Village Headmen (VH) from Senior TA Nthache in Mwaza district. They were stock taking the 2023 projects and strategizing for the year 2024 . Thereafter , the MP and the Chiefs had some New year celebrations. Hon Chitsulo has given the Chiefs New Year Gifts plus K 1 Million cash.

As one way of uplifting Muslim artists in the country, Maksab Girls Academy has signed a one year contract with Nasheed Artist,Aqeel Masinja as brand ambassador.

Speaking during the signing ceremony at Limbe Islamic information bureau, the administrator for the school,Jack Matemba, said Masinja has been recognized based on his good character and excellent skills in nasheed composition.

Matemba also mentioned that the environment is changing, hence the deal for him to help the the Mangochi-based school in promoting girl-child education.

Commenting after signing the deal, Masinja expressed gratitude towards the recognition.

The multi-award winner however asked the Muslim community to support nasheed artists saying "they play a crucial role in spreading good message to the community."
