OPERATION TORIC HAS 200TH ARREST

Yesterday afternoon, ACT Policing Operation TORIC made its 200th apprehension.
The alleged offender had his bail condition extended just that morning at the Courts, then to be arrested in the early afternoon.

He appeared in Court in November 2022 in relation to a separate charge of driving whilst disqualified, as well as a number of other charges and was subsequently disqualified from driving.

Arrested again 23 January 2023, for driving whilst disqualified and drug driving.

And now arrested again yesterday for charges of driving while disqualified and breach of bail. He tested positive for drugs.

I wonder which special and exceptional circumstances his lawyers will provide to support another award of bail?

How many more times and how much more evidence do our Attorney-General and our Chief Minister require to accept there is a problem with the application of our bail laws and bail awards?
