Meteorite hunter celebrates finds with a dance
For Robert Towers, hunting meteorites is a “wonderful hobby” — but his strike rate is impressive, and he hopes the ancient space rocks could hold undiscovered clues to the origins of the Earth and life itself. 🌏🌌
Mr Towers has found more than 200 meteorites across the Nullarbor Plains in Western and South Australia — more than 130 of which he has donated to SA’s Museum.
He has now been recognised for his contributions to the museum’s collection with a commemorative medallion.
