Last week, Songcatcher - on Radio Adelaide presented a trial of a new format, "Songcatchers in the Round." This event brought together several local artists to perform and chat about their songwriting process, not just for our radio audience, but also for a small group joining them live in the station.

Big thanks to SCALA - Songwriters, Composers & Lyricists Association, Tim Moore, Adrienne Lovelock and of course our own Adrian Miller.

Keep an eye out for more "Songcatchers in the Round" in the coming months.

The wonderful Service Voices program is broadcasting for the final time on Monday 25 December. It's host, Helen Meyer, is also hanging up her headphones.

Thank you Helen for the years of service you and your team have given to our station through Service Voices and before that, The Legacy Hour. Such thoughtful, well-researched interviews, professional production and a tangible connection to community. It's been an honour to have this program on Radio Adelaide.

Have a listen to Helen's conversation with Packed Lunch's Nicky Page.

Karina Lester is not only the woman who started our program, Nganampa Wangka. She's a Yankunytjatjara Anangu second generation survivor of the nuclear weapons tests which blinded her father, Yami Lester, exactly 70 years ago, this week.

Her life's work has been to keep that story alive and it led her to help found the Nobel Peace Prize-winning International Campaign Against Nuclear Weapons (ICAN). This is that story, from our team on The Wire - Independent Current Affairs on radio around Australia.
