TEAM SOUTH AFRICA CLINCHED THEIR FIRST GOLD DURING THE WBSC Africa IN THE SOUTHERN AFRICA REGION YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP,NGOAKO RAMAHLODI SPORTS COMPLEX,SESHEGO,LIMPOPO.
This tournament has been a roller coaster of emotional breakthrough in different aspects of the games that took place on the 9th until 11th of August.
Division made into five regions taking to the African qualifier in December, previous African qualifier RSA didn't qualify after they came fourth.Lesotho & Zimbabwe they've joined the tournament firstly this year.
This championship it was supposed to have 5 teams participating Botswana, Lesotho,South Africa, Zambia & Zimbabwe,due to unforeseen circumstances Zambia couldn't make it.
Rsa has won all their games through out the tournament, Zimbabwe has won 4 and lost 2 games, Botswana won 2 lost 4 games lastly Lesotho lost all 6 games.
During the bronze medal fight Lesotho overtaken Botswana with strategy,as they brought stella performance defense and attacking on the 1st & 2nd set.Botswana was in shock with the unleashed smack as Lesotho won by ball game.Last set Botswana came guns blazing after their 6th point they slacked, Lesotho came & attacked won that match.
Finals both Zimbabwe & RSA played a good game that was intriguing to the viewer.Zimbabwe when it was very difficult they asked time mostly they didn't want to take that risk to tag.Slamdien gave RSA an amazing saving,after Zimbabwe only needed two points on the last set better yet all men went down.
This tournament was amazing other teams got saved because of few errors made by the other teams.
