Two Limpopo police officers sentenced to eight years direct imprisonment for robbery.

Lecton Ramasenya (40) and Frans Seema (35) were sentenced to eight years of direct imprisonment on one account of robbery. The accused were working at the Matlala police station.

In the first incident, on the 20 July 2016,at Boslag Matlala, the accused went on a robbery spree at Matlala village, targeting Indian owned shops.Ramasenya and Seema were on duty wearing police uniforms and driving police vehicle, they approached a shop owner under the pretense that the shop owner was selling dagga.

Once they were inside the premises, the accused persons ordered the owner of the shop to lie down while they ransacked ci******es, airtime and cellphones.

In the second incident, the accused followed the owner to the warehouse and when they arrived, they also took his stock.During the trial the accused persons pleaded not guilty and remained silent.However the court was convinced that they are guilty as charged and sentenced them to eight years of direct imprisonment.

MOLETJI- Three suspected illegal Zimbabweans were found lying motionless and beaten up on the side of the road at Mokgodu Moletji.

The suspects were found in possession of a BMW that was stolen in the area.

They were caught by the community and beaten up and handed over to the police.

CONTRACTORS EXHUME SKULL OF A PERSON WHILE BUSY WITH CONSTRUCTIONS.

GA-MASHAMAITE| Seshego and Moletjie News has learned from an eyewitness that a skull of a human being was reportedly exhumed by contractors tracker loader backhoe (TLB) while busy doing the project construction in Moletjie, Ga- mashamaite.

The discovery was made on 16 August 2022.

The police and forensic have attended the scene.

MAN STABBED TO DEATH AT CHEBENG TARVERN

MOLETJIE: A man was stabbed to death during a tarven brawl at a tarven in Moletjie Chebeng under Polokwane Municipality on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Paul Maoto.

Maoto was stabbed with a knife on the neck and died instantaneously.

The events leading to the stabbing incident are sketchy at this point.

No arrests have been made as yet.

Congratulations continue to pour in for Athanatious Masoma as he begins his Skeem Saam journey as Phuthi, whose first appearance on Friday, 5 August 2022 captivated his fans. The viewers all agreed on one thing: the debutant’s acting career should have started on the small screen a long time ago.

But who exactly is he? Masoma was born and raised in Tibanefontein, Ga-Matlala, Limpopo Province, and had the opportunity to study media studies at the University of Limpopo (UL), where he graduated with bachelor of arts in Media Studies in 2013 and got his honors in 2014

Fondly called “Mr Flamboyant”, he had many firsts while at UL, including being the first student to direct the first-ever feature film, “Integrity Millionaires,” in 2014. A year later, he directed a documentary about NSFAS in Cape Town with his fellow honours students at UL.

He was a very active student, serving as Chairperson of the UL English Society in 2012 and studying Intensive English at the University of Notre Dame the year before. Upon his return, he founded an NGO called Peer on Peer Educators and visited over 500 schools in and around Limpopo Province with his peers, providing motivation and inspiration to tomorrow’s leaders.

Masoma is a former love show presenter on the 21h00 – 00h00 – Wings of Love programme on Radio Turf (a community radio station based at the University of Limpopo). He then left to serve at the same university as the social media editor and copy editor of Keyaka Student Magazine.

He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Limpopo Tribune newspaper, a leading newsbreaker in Limpopo keeping the nation up to speed with the latest developments in and about the province. The outlet maximises exposure by combining social media, online, and print publications.

Meet Moletjie's born, Candidate Officer Phuti Calvin Moloto,(29) a military Pilot who is qualified on the Mi-8MT transport and Mi-24 Hind Attack helicopter at the Syzran Higher Military Aviation School for pilots in Russia.

Calvin Moloto hold degrees in Aircraft flight operations engineering, special military training and Russian to English translation.

According to Calvin, it took him 6 years to qualify.

He hails from Moletjie Ga-Rampuru in the Limpopo Province.

He attended Rampuru Primary School and matriculated at Nkgopoleng Bakone High School.

Deputy Minister for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Thembi Nkadimeng took it to social media to say that Calvin is too experienced and he was walking long distances to school in the scorching sun and having very limited resources for learning but he refused to give up🙌

COURT SET TRIAL DATE FOR LEBOHO.

Seshego and Moletjie News has learned that trial date has been set for Kibi Josias Leboho, accused of shooting and killing his ex fiance Tshepo Rakoma in May last year.

Leboho made a brief appearance in the Mankweng Regional Court this afternoon. His trial date is set for 20-24 February 2023 and will be heard in the Polokwane High Court.

Leboho is facing charges of murder of Tshepo during her lunch break, unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition; and theft.

He remains in custody.
