When Mab Sochan joined DDD’s B.E.S.T. program, she was not expecting to gain friends on top of office and life skills. “I was surprised when I met people from different provinces. Everyone was so friendly, and in our team, we always made sure we helped each other out. I’m grateful I get to work in such a warm environment.”

DDD has a 15-year track record in digitizing historically significant and culturally important collections and archives for national and state libraries, museums and archives, and cultural heritage organizations.

Working with UNESCO and The Brechin Group Inc., DDD has chronicled the events of the Khmer Rouge rule to increase awareness. DDD digitized and indexed over 400,000 documents, including photographs, handwritten “confessions” and other biographical records, which are now compiled in both English and Khmer at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum Archives of Cambodia.

Twenty-six-year-old Khampha Boudtakhod joined DDD in 2016 and started out as a data encoder. For Khampha, working for a supportive employer like DDD has empowered him to make a living for his family while also pursuing his own dream of finishing his bachelor’s degree in IT. Now working for the Bookshare project, Khampha is part of a team that makes reading easier for people with dyslexia, blindness, and cerebral palsy.

Antony Khan has always excelled in school but his journey to fulfilling his dreams has always been sidetracked by challenges, from losing his father at an early age to his mother struggling to make ends meet for her five children. Determined and focused, Anthony landed a scholarship at DDD, where he is able to make a living to support his family while also pursuing university education. Finally, nothing can keep Antony from achieving his ambitions.

“I never expected to be in such an organization that does so much for youth to not only empower them, but also their communities. While at DDD, I was privileged to be enrolled in the DDD-Work-School Programme in 2018 to pursue a degree in Journalism. I have dreamt of being a journalist since high school. DDD has helped me realize my dream.”
