JB is rooting for Gabriel Jacoby, and so are we.

Jacoby is a soulful singer and songwriter who graced our ‘Best Songs of 2025’ list and already counts several high-profile artists as fans. “He was just showing love. I’m not used to that from other guys, so it was dope,” Jacoby told YAMS Magazine about getting Bieber’s latest co-sign. The raspy-voiced Floridian joined JB on his livestream at the end of 2025, singing together in a series of jam sessions — all of it sparked by Instagram DMs. Most recently, they hung out Thursday and were in the studio together along with The Kid Laroi.

Both artists also had a song called “Baby” jumpstart their careers, so it’s no surprise the two are fans of each others work. Jacoby’s EP “gutta child” is out now.

Spotify says ICE recruitment ads are no longer running on the platform. After facing backlash last fall over ads promoting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement hiring, a spokesperson confirmed the campaign ended late last year. “There are currently no ICE ads running on Spotify,” a Spotify spokesperson told Variety.

The news arrives one day after Renee Good, a 37-year-old woman and U.S. citizen, was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on Wednesday, according to police. In the aftermath, Minneapolis public schools canceled classes over safety concerns, and the incident sparked widespread public outrage.

Searows makes the kind of timeless indie folk that you wanna put on when it’s raining and you’re in the mood to get in your feelings. Not because the songs, guitar-plucked and hushed, are so particularly moody, but because the Portland-raised singer writes with an unexplainable, emotive clarity. Searows is gearing up to release his sophomore album, Death in the Business of Whaling, expected on January 23. Ahead, see pictures from his time on the road, and read about the Kate Bush song he wants to cover and the film that got him obsessed with q***r cinema.

‘Marty Supreme gets five stars from Charli xcx. In her review of the film, she praises Odessa A’zion, calling her a “rocket.” A’zion plays the role of Rachel Mizler, a chaotic and big-hearted character who stays by Timothee Chalamet’s side.

In a recent Substack article of hers, xcx writes about how she is currently more inspired by film than music. “Film is where my creative brain seems to be gravitating. I’m enjoying acting, I’m enjoying writing, I’m enjoying watching and I’m above all enjoying discovering a new craft.”
