On Friday, a U.S. district judge ruled that you can only copyright works created by HUMANS, not A.I.
A guy named Stephen Thaler sued because he was denied a copyright on a piece of artwork that was, quote, "autonomously created by a computer algorithm running on a machine."
But the Judge said, quote, "Human involvement in, and ultimate creative control over, the work at issue was key to the conclusion that the new type of work fell within the bounds of copyright."
