The Register is looking for a full-time reporter to help us cover Dearborn and Ohio Counties, Indiana, and Harrison, Ohio. Lots of opportunities to do storytelling. Perfect for someone who wants to start their journalism career, or someone who misses the news business. This is a good job to learn community journalism and to gain experience writing about many subjects, including sports. Knowledge of journalistic writing is preferred. Knowledge of pagination, photography, and online and social media skills are pluses. We will consider someone with no experience. I truly feel so blessed to do this job. 🥹

It was quite a night at the Greater Cincinnati Society of Professional Journalists Awards! I am so grateful to have been honored with two wins—one for my coverage on how ‘120k+ in taxpayer dollars was used to fix jail windows broken by inmates’ and the other for my reporting on the tragic damages caused by the Goshen Tornado.

I was also a finalist for three other categories! Shoutout to photojournalist Payton Bradley who worked on both stories with me!

I’m very proud of the FOX19 team, including Ashley Smith WXIX who also took home a win for best health/medical reporting!
