ICYMI: In the recently concluded Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians, Mapúa University's Intramuros Campus obtained a 100.00% passing rate while the Makati Campus logged an 83.33% passing rate.
The national passing rate is 69.78%.
ADVISORY: In observance of Ninoy Aquino Day and National Heroes Day on August 23 and 26, respectively, Mapúa University has announced that there will be no classes on the said dates for both the Intramuros and Makati campuses.
HOLIDAY NOTICE: In observance of Ninoy Aquino Day on August 23, which was previously observed on the 21st but has been adjusted by Malacañang, as well as National Heroes Day on August 26, there will be NO CLASSES at the Mapúa Intramuros and Makati campuses.
Let's use this time to honor the heroes who have profoundly shaped our nation.
The new flock of Cardinals were welcomed into their new home in this year's , starting with the Opening Ceremony held last August 12, at the Intramuros Campus Gymnasium.
In the program, Mapúans were given a walk down memory lane of the University throughout the years, followed by the annual tradition of Transfer of Knowledge led by the University Student Goverment, and opening remarks delivered by Dr. Lilibeth D. Sabino, the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. The opening festivities had two sessions: morning and afternoon - which followed the same program.
This year's batch of new Mapúans is dubbed as the as the University enters its 100th Founding Year in January 2025.

ADVISORY: Due to the volcanic smog from the Taal Volcano, Senior High School classes are suspended today, August 19.
Classes in all levels will be conducted synchronously online tomorrow, August 20.
Employees will also be in a work-from-home arrangement tomorrow. However, the Admissions Office, Registrar’s Office, and Treasury Office will remain open to attend to enrollment and school-related concerns.

HAPPENING NOW: The Mapúa School of Nursing, in collaboration with the Arizona State University, hosts the first Capping, Pinning, and Candle Lighting Ceremony for Batch Aurora Luminaria at the Mapúa Makati Cardinal Cinema.
To formally welcome the students, School of Nursing Dean Emillie Joy B. Mejia, Ph.D. will be delivering her welcoming remarks, followed by the Guest of Honor and EVP for International Alliances & Cintana Partnership Executive Director Dr. Bonifacio T. Doma Jr., who will be giving his keynote speech.
The event is a symbol of the commitment of aspiring nurses as they take on the responsibilities and challenges in the field.

SCHOLARSHIPS: Mapúa University (MU), UT Foundation Inc., and AY Foundation have inked a scholarship agreement that expands the coverage of existing MU scholarships by covering the expenses of miscellaneous and laboratory fees as well as allowances. The scholarship opportunity takes effect this school year 2024-2025. HAPPENING NOW: The annual Transfer of Knowledge for Mapúa University (MU) freshmen is taking place during the opening ceremony of the at the Intramuros Campus Gymnasium.
The opening ceremony started with the centennial prayer led by Ms. Eliza Torres and the national anthem performed by the Mapúa Cardinal Singers.
To formally welcome the new batch of cardinals, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lilibeth D. Sabino delivered her opening remarks.
The afternoon session for students under the departments of EECE, IE-EMG, CEGE, Math, Physics, Athletics, and ARIDBE will be held later today at 1:00 PM.
With the theme, “Odyssey: Embracing the Call of the Builders of the Future,” Mapúa University (MU) will be welcoming new Mapúans in this year’s to be held at both Intramuros and Makati campuses from August 12 to 16.
The opening ceremony will be held tomorrow, August 12, and will be split into morning and afternoon sessions, followed by a department tour hosted by the University’s respective schools and departments.
Throughout the week-long celebration, activities and events will also be hosted by the University, University Student Government, and various student organizations.

Dimaunahan, the Director for Operations, Technology, and Analytics, spearheaded the launch of Mapúa Digital Classrooms at the Audio-Visual Room 2 of the Intramuros Campus. HAPPENING NOW: Mapúa Interior Design students launch their Furniture Design Class Exhibit 2024 entitled "Habi-Habilin," today at the 4th Floor Railings of Ayala Malls, Manila Bay.
Headlining the four-day exhibit are guest speakers Mr. Jed Yabut, owner of Yabut Furniture and Design, and Mr. Joseph Gonzalez-Rastrullo of Piraso Inc.

Exhibiting their creativity and passion, Mapúans from the Interior Design- Furniture Design Class present Habi-Habilin, a furniture design exhibit featuring nine unique pieces crafted by Mapúans. The four-day event will run from August 1 to 4 at the 4th Floor Railings of Ayala Malls, Manila Bay.
Habi-habilin shines the spotlight on solihiya, one of the country's local material in the weaving industry.

Following his exemplary performance and steady presence inside the court, Mapúa Cardinal Paolo Hernandez is hailed as the Collegiate Press Corps NCAA Player of the Week after coming in clutch in the Cards' back-to-back recent victories against the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Blazers and the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals. Hernandez bested out teammate Clint Escamis, Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirate Mclaude Guadana and John Barba, and Jose Rizal University (JRU) Heavy Bomber Agem Miranda to earn the recognition awarded by the San Miguel Corporation and backed by minor sponsors Discovery Suites and Jockey. Averaging 16.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists, the stellar forward also drilled the game-winning baskets to propel the red and gold squad to a 4-1 standing, sharing the second seed spot with JRU.
