According to Vaccine Czar Carlito Galvez Jr., the government eyes Sinovac inoculation of 9 million senior citizens by April this year.
However, Food and Drugs Administration have already advised against the use of the Chinese vaccine for ages beyond 60 and below 18.
In an interview with DZMM, medical director of Dr. Jose N. Reyes Memorial Hospital, Dr. Fritz Famaran said several senior citizen hospital staff members already received shots with CoronaVac, the Covid-19 vaccine from China's biotech company, Sinovac.
According to Famaran, a lot of senior citizens have been vaccinated, despite the label on the box itself saying it may only be used for patients aged 18–59 years old.
This regime has already failed the people countless of times. It is no longer a surprise for it to take such insensitive action.
President Rodrigo Duterte, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, and Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana have already opted out due to the FDA recommendation. The same recommendation they deny by forcing healthcare workers and senior citizens to take the jab.

Panawagan din ng grupo ay ipatupad na ng kumpanya ang ibinabang desisyon ng Department of Labor and Employment na gawing regular ang nasa mahigit na 300 manggagawa nito.

Ani pa ng grupo ay hindi sila ang lumabag sa batas kundi ang kumpanya ng Harbour Centre sapagkat hindi nito sinunod at lantarang binalewala ang mga ibinabang desisyon ng pamahalaan at ng Korte.

Ika-2 ng Setyembre 2020, 8am--- Nagsagawa ng kilos protesta ang mga manggagawa ng Harbour Centre sa tapat ng opisina ng Department of Labor and Employment National Capital Region sa Maleta, Manila. Ito ay upang ipanawagan sa ahensya na ipatupad na ang regularisasyon ng 368 na mga manggagawa sa Harbour Centre na nauna nang naipanalo noong 2017. Kasabay nito ay ang panawagang i-release na ang natitirang money claim ng mga manggagawa.
Mariing kinukundena ng Manila Workers Unity ang kawalan ng aksyon at kongkretong Plano ng ahensya para sa mga manggagawa. Hanggang kasalukuyan ay hindi pa rin naiimplementa ang regularisasyon ng mahigit 300 manggagawa sa Harbour Centre. Bagkus, nitong Enero 2020 ay tinanggal sa pagawaan ang mga manggagawa sa ilalim ng Grasials Stevedoring Corporation. Dahil walang pangil ang desisyon ng DOLE, nagawang tanggalin ng Harbour Centre ang mga manggagawa.
Hindi rin makatwiran na I-hold ng ahensya ang natitirang money claim ng mga manggagawa. Naipanalo na ang kaso na ito at nauna nang na I-release ang malaking bahagi nitong nakaraang Hunyo. Ang ginagawa ng dahilan ng DOLE sa paghohold ay ang sulat na ipinadala ng Harbour Centre sa mga Sheriff ng ahensya. Hindi ito sapat na batayang sapagkat wala namang ibinabang Temporary Restraining Order ang Korte.
Hinahamon ng MAWU ang DOLE na katigan ang mga manggagawa at panindigan ang mga ibinaba na nitong desisyon.
