It has glorious history over 2 decades in media and film courses & productions. Audio Visual Arts and Sciences (AVAS) is a media academy dedicated to the field of media development in Nepal. It was established in 1998 as private company for audio visual production and film/media training institute. It has been striving to become a center of excellence in media education and training especially in
broadcast media. The founders and architects of AVAS have envisaged it as a national institution of higher technical education in the media sector. It is patron by media professionals and management experts of outstanding caliber, who have undertaken the challenge to operate quality institution to cater audio-visual workforce need of the country. It has produced documentary film, television program, PSAs to various organizations UNFPA, Department of Health, Nepal Tourism Board, UNICEF, UNDP, Ministry of Forestry, FAO, Dalit Welfare Organization etc. More than 2000 individual are trained from audio visual training from AVAS including Photography, Videography television program production, Visual editing, TV Reporting since its inception. It is a pioneer institution in country providing audio visual service, consultation and producing trained human resources.
