Meet today's personality - Prof. Abdelghaffar Amoka, a physics lecturer extraordinaire. This Kogi State native has been educating minds at Ahmadu Bello University since 2005.

Prof. Amoka earned his Ph.D in High Voltage Insulation from the University of Leicester after obtaining his B.Sc and M.Sc in Physics from Ahmadu Bello University. His awards include the IEEE DEIS Graduate Fellowship and Islamic Development Bank Award.

But beyond the accolades, Prof. Amoka has been a champion for educational reforms through Nigeria's Academic Staff Union, authoring scathing articles and the book "Nigeria's Public University: Industrial Unrest and Poverty of Sincerity" highlighting the union's struggles. His fierce advocacy continues to inspire aspiring scholars.

We celebrate this agent of change using his platform to stand up for the world-class education Nigerian students deserve. Prof. Amoka - motivating future generations to aim high and lift their voices. An example to students and faculty alike. Rock on Prof.

i. You are to present yourself for screening from 18th December, 2023 at Mamman Kontagora Square Main Campus The exercise is to ensure that you meet the University, Department and Programme entry requirements. Registration last for two weeks excluding Festive Period.

ii. Attached with is the list of respective requirements for screening which you are expected to bring along.

It is important that your students confirm their names on the matriculation list. Only candidates whose names are on this list are recognised as bonafide students of your institution.

CRUCIAL STEPS AFTER ADMISSION

Stay alert for the school to release its official list. Upon admission confirmation on the school portal, details about attending the mandatory faculty screening on specified dates will be communicated. Your admission is not finalized until undergoing thorough screening by the faculty representative.

Note: Provide accurate information, as failure to do so may result in admission changes or retrieval. In recent 2021 admissions, access to admission printouts is granted only after successful screening.

Documents required for screening include:
- SSCE Original Certificate or Printed statement of results.
- Jamb Result/Admission letter (preferably original)
- Indigene Letter
- Online Admission letter Printout
- Post UTME Results
- Photocopies
-Have your documents intact with passports.

The physical screening and documents verification is a straightforward process, mind you no interview involved.

After passing the screening, you can print your admission letter and receive a matriculation number for registration. Then, it's time to proceed with school fees payment.
