MPICO registers increase in rental income

A marginal increase in rental income has contributed to a profitable return for property firm MPICO.

The company has posted a pre-tax profit of K10.93 Billion in the year ended 2023, up from 9 billion that was registered in 2022.

Speaking during the firm's 51st Annual General Meeting, Board Chairperson Edith Jiya said the rental incomes grew from K6.8 billion to K6.9 billion.

One of their major properties, Gateway Mall, has made a significant contribution towards the annual profits.

Lilongwe City Council receives dash bins

Lilongwe City Council has received dash bins from Tamara Safety Products to enhance proper waste disposal.

Mayor of Lilongwe, Esther Sagawa, expressed delight with the gesture, saying the donation has come at an opportune time when the council is working restore the city's cleanliness and greenery.

Wilson Sichali, Sales Representative for the company said issues of promoting sanitation in the city requires concerted efforts hence the donation.

Posainirana mgwirizanowu mu mzinda wa Lilongwe, nduna ya zachuma, a Simplex Chithyola Banda, ati izi zikuonetsa chikhulupiliro chomwe dziko la Germany liri nacho pa dziko la Malawi m'mene likuyendetsera ntchito zachuma.

"Ndalama zokwana 19 million Euros zomwe nzoposa K35 billion ndi zomwe dziko la Germany latipatsa. Ichi mchitsimikizo chokwanira kuti pali ubale wabwino pakati pa dziko lino ndi dziko la Germany. Ndalamazi zisintha miyoyo ya anthu ovutikitsitsa m'madera akumidzi," anatero a Chithyola Banda.
