Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has reopened Chipiku Plus at Wenera following its closure yesterday.
The shop was closed due to poor storage, inadequate pest control, mixing of spoiled and good products, and poor ventilation.
MBS officials have confirmed that the shop owners have addressed the issues that led to the closure.

Hundreds of people in a rural part of Ethiopia, 165 kilometres north-east of the capital, Addis Ababa, have been leaving their homes in panic as a nearby volcano has been showing signs of a possible eruption.
A local chief, Sultan Kemil, has told the BBC that the smoke coming from Mount Dofan that began around 17 hours local time on Thursday has a fiery plume that is very high.
In a video posted by the Ethiopian Geological Institute on its page, steam and debris can be seen shooting out from the mountain.
In recent weeks, there have been more than a dozen seismic events around Awash Fentale – an earthquake-prone area of Ethiopia’s Afar region.
Meanwhile, an official evacuation process is under way to prevent harm to residents amid earthquakes that are getting higher and stronger with tremors also being felt far away in Addis Ababa.
