Our Vision and Mission
As a nation, Sri Lankans are always willing to gain knowledge. Reading is one of the
essential part to achieve that goal. However, in our experience we have come across two main obstacles as readers and
book lovers to achieve that goal. Firstly, books are very expensive and prices have been
increasing rapidly, even faster than other essential living expenses. Therefor
e we have to
think twice before buying a book. Secondly, we have frequently found difficulties obtaining
particular books due to non availability in Sri Lanka. These can also be problems sourcing
these books from overseas markets. These factors are the main reasons we have a proposal to instigate an online Book Store,
“SL Reader”.
“SL Reader”, is not just a business but, it is the business with a prime principle within its’
policies, is a duty to provide a social service, giving opportunities for anyone wishing to
obtain a book, or books more cheaply than the current market allows them to do so. In addition, we will undertake orders to “find the book” anywhere in the world and delivered
to your doorstep at the lowest cost possible.
