In an inspiring journey to raise awareness about air pollution, Vanlallawmzuala Varte set out on his mission "Ride to Clean Air" from Aizawl on 24th January 2024. After an incredible 286-day journey, covering 28 states and 5 Union Territories, he returned to Durtlang, Aizawl, this Tuesday afternoon.

This All India Cycle Tour was more than just a ride; it was a powerful statement on the importance of clean air and sustainable living. Vanlallawmzuala’s dedication reminds us all to take small steps toward a greener, healthier future.

Mizoram Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma inaugurated the state's new e-Ram online service portal on Tuesday, 5th November, at the Irrigation & Water Resources Auditorium in MINECO. This portal has been developed by the Land Revenue & Settlement Department and it aims to make land records and services more accessible to the public.

On October 23, the Mizoram Government's Art & Culture Department organized the 'Bharat Ko Jano' Programme in Kolasib, promoting unity, cultural diversity, and educating citizens about the richness of India’s heritage. Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati proudly proclaimed Mizoram as an “island of peace,” reflecting on the enduring success of the Mizoram Peace Accord after two decades of insurgency.

With over 200 ethnic communities and 220 dialects in the Northeast, the Governor emphasized that understanding our nation’s diversity is key to achieving a Viksit Bharat. He also highlighted the importance of effectively utilizing central government schemes for development.

Major Laldingngheta, son of Vanlalhriata from Aizawl's Bungkawn Vengthar, has been awarded the Sena Medal (Gallantry) for his heroic bravery in the fight against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

On October 21, 2023, Maj Laldingngheta and his Combat Action Team intercepted four terrorists crossing the Line of Control. Despite severe injuries, including gr***de and gunshot wounds, he led his team with unwavering courage, neutralizing two terrorists and safeguarding our nation.

His extraordinary valor embodies the indomitable spirit of our soldiers. We honor his sacrifice and dedication to the country. 🇮🇳

Brigadier BS Gill, Vir Chakra, exemplifies how life should be lived—with love, large-heartedness, and a deep c***ection to the people. For three generations, Brig Gill and his family have shared a close bond with the village of Diltlang in Mizoram.

In memory of his late wife, Kamal Gill, Brig Gill donated an ambulance and a multi-utility all-terrain vehicle to the village. This act of generosity was marked by his remarkable journey: traveling 3,500 km from Chandigarh to Aizawl, Mizoram, and then another 400 km to Diltlang.

The villagers welcomed Brigadier Saheb warmly, honoring him by carrying him in a palanquin. This story of Brig Gill’s love and magnanimity, even in times of personal loss, is truly heartwarming and inspirational. It reminds us all of the power of compassion and the importance of giving back to the community.

May we all strive to live our lives with such grace and generosity.

𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐢 𝐙𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐢: 𝐀 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐦

We are saddened to announce the passing of Pi Zadingi (72) of Buarpui, Mizoram, a brave Mizo mother who was awarded the Shaurya Chakra. Pi Zadingi is renowned for her extraordinary courage when, in her twenties, she single-handedly killed a tiger with an axe while collecting firewood in the forest in 1978. Her heroic act, which saved her and her unborn child, has been immortalized in school textbooks and serves as a lasting symbol of bravery. Pi Zadingi often credited her survival to God's guidance and protection. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.
