ٹیکنالوجی اور ہم
ڈیجیٹل دنیا کے اس نئے دور میں معیشت، روزگار، سیاست، صحت اور انسانی خدمات کو لے کر فیصلے لینے کے معاملات میں کئی انقلابات آئے ہیں۔ آج سے چالیس پچاس سال قبل ہماری زندگیوں پر اثر انداز ہونے والے اہم فیصلے جیسے کہ ہمیں روزگار ملے گا یا نہیں، ہماری صحت اور بنیادی ضروریات پوری ہوں گی یا نہیں، حکومتی اسکیمیں ہمیں مل پائیں گی یا نہیں، انسان کیا کیا کرتے تھے۔ یہی وجہ تھی کہ اس دور میں کہیں نہ کہیں ہمارے اجتماعی و سماجی فیصلوں میں انسانیت یا انسان ہونے کا جزو جھلکتا رہا ہے۔ لیکن آج ان کی جگہ Sophisticated مشینوں نے لے لی ہے۔ Automated Eligibility System Ranking Algorithms وغیرہ اب یہ طے کرتے ہیں کہ کن گھرانوں کو سہولیات ملیں گی یا کن کو روزگار ملے گا اور انھی کے ذریعہ سماج میں بڑے تغیرات ہو رہے ہیں۔ جس کی وجہ سے غریبوں، حق داروں، پچھڑوں، آدی واسیوں وغیرہ کو سماجی علاحدگی کا شکار ہونا پڑا ہے۔
ٹیکنالوجی کے اس دور میں انسان اب انسان نہیں بلکہ منافع کمانے کا ایک ذریعہ ہے، جس کی ہر ایک چیز سے منافع کمایا جا سکتا ہے۔ اس کے اندر بسنے والے انسانی وجود سے اس ڈیجیٹل منافع خوری کو کوئی سروکار نہیں۔ نئی ٹیکنالوجی کے ڈیجیٹل آلات ہم سے ہماری تمام معلومات اخذ کر لیتے ہیں، چاہے وہ ہمارے مزاج سے متعلق ہوں یا ہمارے طور طریقوں سے متعلق ہوں اور پھر ان حاصل شدہ معلومات کو بنیاد بنا کر ہمارے ذریعہ سرمایہ کاری کی جا رہی ہے۔ یہ نہ صرف بے شمار منافع کمانے کا ذریعہ ہے بلکہ اس منافع خوری کے لیے یہ ٹیکنالوجی دھیرے دھیرے ہمیں اور ہماری نسلوں کے سلوک اور برتاؤ تک کو بدلتی جا رہی ہے۔

ہمارے لیے ایک اور فکر کا مقام یہ بھی ہے کہ سیاست اور سیاسی نظام اب بڑی حد تک اس ٹیکنالوجی کے چنگل میں آچکا ہے۔ سوشل میڈیا پر دکھائے جانے والے گمراہ کن سیاسی اشتہارات ہوں یا Virtual Social Media کے ذریعہ سیاسی انتہا پسندی و گمراہی کو پھیلانا، یہ تمام چیزیں پر امن اور عوام الناس کی آزادانہ شمولیت پر مبنی سیاست کو ختم کرتی جارہی ہیں۔ ہمارے لیے اب یہ ضروری ہے کہ ہم ان موضوعات پر گفتگو کریں، تنقید کریں اور ایک بہتر مستقبل کے لیے جس میں ٹیکنالوجی انسانی اقدار پر مشتمل اصولوں سے آراستہ کی جاسکے، ایک لائحہ عمل بھی پیش کریں۔
اس کتاب میں ہم ابھی کچھ موضوعات کو زیر بحث لائیں گے۔ ہم یہ سمجھنے کی کوشش کریں گے کہ کس طرح آج کے دور کی مروجہ ٹیکنالوجی ہماری زندگی کے کئی پہلوؤں کا احاطہ کیسے ہوئے ہے جس میں نہ صرف ہماری زندگی کے انفرادی و خانگی گوشے آتے ہیں بلکہ ہماری گھریلو زندگی پر بھی اس کے گہرے اثرات پڑ رہے ہیں۔ اس سے آگے بڑھ کر یہ ایک ایسے سماج کو تشکیل دے رہی ہے جو انسانی قدروں کے لیے ایک چیلنج ہے۔ خاص طور پر اس کے زیر سایہ پروان چڑھنے والی نئی نسل کے اپنے وجود اور مقصد زندگی کو کھو بیٹھنے کا اندیشہ ہے۔ لیکن نہ تو انسانی سماج اس سے دور بھاگ سکتا ہے نہ کسی پہاڑ یا ریگستان کی تنہائی میں زندگی بسر کر سکتا ہے۔ اسی لیے اس کے اثرات کو گہرائی سے سمجھنا وقت کی اہم ضرورت ہے۔
اس کتاب کے پہلے باب میں ہم نے سماج کے الگ الگ حصوں پر پڑنے والے اثرات کو پیش کیا ہے۔ بعد ازاں اگلے دو ابواب میں ٹیکنالوجی کے معیشت پر مرتب ہوتے اثرات کو سمجھنے کی کوشش کی گئی ہے۔ چوتھے باب میں ہم نے سیاست اور ٹیکنالوجی کے موضوع پر تنقیدی نگاہ ڈالی ہے اور یہ سمجھنے کی کوشش کی ہے کہ عوام کی آزادانہ سیاسی شمولیت کس طرح متاثر ہو رہی ہے۔

About 1400 years ago when Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) was 40-year-old an angel ‘Jibreel’ approached him. The angel asked Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to read in the name of Allah. The Prophet was bewildered and unable to read.

The angel forced him to read. Finally, he started to recite what angel Jibreel was reading to him.

That is how Jibreel would come to him with messages sent by Allah to make him and his people lead a better life for the success of this world and hereafter.
