September 18, 2020, Darjeeling. Gorkha Janamukti Morcha President Binoy Tamang it's a great initiative on cleaning Darjeeling. The announcement for the cleanliness drive that is initiated by the Party president Binoy Tamang is for the preparation for welcoming Tourists in Darjeeling after six months of the Covid-19 lockdown phase. His setting up the entire drive in a competition mode has to succeed, come rain or shine, as he is offering cash price for the same. President, in the meeting in Tukvar, on the outskirts of Darjeeling town said, " The drive would continue till September 27, that is, till the World Tourism Day".
Certain rules and regulation is set up for the drive:
1. No individual participation is invited. Participants have to Participate in a Team comprising a minimum of 5 individuals. Groups from Samaj, Clubs, Association, Self Help Group can participate
2. While cleaning, groups have to follow the Covid-19 precaution guidelines set by the Government of West Bengal.
3. Groups have to register to participate in the competition.
4. The participants have to attach the photo of the area before cleaning, in the Registration Form.
5. Participants shall post the photographs and video of cleaning activity in Social Media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter with the hashtag #हाम्रोवार्डस्वच्छवार्ड
6. Every participant has to take a Pledge as follows:

I take this pledge that I will remain committed to the cleanliness of my ward and devote time to this. I will neither litter nor let others litter. I pledge to avoid single-use plastic, reuse or recycle the plastic that I do use, to educate others about plastic waste, and to take Citizen Muscle actions to make plastic a thing of the past.
7. The last date of submission for the Registration Form is 25th September 2020.
There are 32 wards in Darjeeling, 20 in Kurseong, 23 in Kalimpong, and 9 in Mirik that come under the criteria of this competition. The winners will receive the reward of Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 by the authorities.

जी टी ए क्षेत्रका बासिन्दाहरुलाई मेरो निवेदन छ यदि तपाईंमा कोरोना भाइरसको लक्षण देखा परे कृपया नलुकाउनु होस। तपाईंलाई घाँटी दुख्दैछ, श्वास फेर्न गाह्रो हुँदैछ अथवा ज्वरो आउँदैछ भने नजिकैको सरकारी अस्पतालमा गएर जाँच गराउनु होस।

कोरोना भाइरस सँग डराउनु होइन तर लक्षण देखा परे जाँच गराउनु उत्तम हो। डराएर बिमार लुकाउनु हानिकारक हुन्छ। यदि कसैलाई लक्षण देखा परे तुरन्तै जाँच गराउनु होस। यदि जाँचको रिपोर्ट पोजिटिभ आए, जी टी ए द्वारा प्रायोजित निशुल्क उपचार लिनुहोस्। मतलब तपाईं कोरोना पोजिटिभ भए तपाईंको उपचार जी टी एले निशुल्क गर्नेछ। यदि बीमार छिटो पत्ता लगाउनु सकिए, उपचार पनि चाँडो हुनेछ।

विगत केही दिनहरूको घटनाहरुमा हामीले यो पायौं कि धेरै व्यक्तिहरूले कोरोना को लक्षणलाई लुकाएर राखे। यदि उनीहरूको जाँच लक्षण देख्न साथ भएको भए सायाद धेरैको ज्यान हामी बचाउँन सक्ने थियौं।

जी टी ए सर्वेलान्स कमिटी का सदस्यहरुलाई अनुरोध गर्दछु कि तपाईंहरू पहिला भन्दा पनि बढी चनाखो भएर गाउँ घर, बजार, कमान, वार्डमा काम गरिदिनु होस। यदि तपाईंको सर्वेक्षण क्षेत्रमा कुनै पनि व्यक्तिमा कोरोनाको लक्षण देखा परे उनीहरूको रिपोर्ट स्वास्थ्य विभागलाई गरिदिनु होस।

कोरोना भाइरस सँग लड्ने अचुक हतियार भनेको नै सार्वजनिक स्थलमा मास्क लगाउनु, हात धुनु अथवा सेनिटाइजर को प्रयोग गर्नु अनि मानिस सँग भेट हुँदा ६ फिट को सामाजिक दूरी राख्नु हो। यदि यी हतियार को प्रयोग गर्यौ भने हामी कोरोना संक्रमित हुन देखि बाँच्ने छौं।

पश्चिम बंगाल सरकार अधिनस्त ३९ वटा तालिम केन्द्रमा हर वर्ष जी एन एम को ( General Nursing Midwifery) तालिम दिइन्छ। यी केन्द्रहरूमा २४०५ सीट उपलब्ध छ (२३०० महिला अनि १०५ पुरुष)। जी टी ए क्षेत्रमा दुई तालिम केन्द्र मार्फत, दार्जीलिङ जिल्ला अस्पताल (५० सीट) अनि कालिम्पोङ महकुमा अस्पताल (४० सीट) गरेर जम्मा ९० जनालाई तालिम दिइन्छ।

गत वर्ष पनि हामीले माननीय मुख्य मन्त्रीलाई पहाडका दुई तालिम केन्द्रका (९० सीट) ५०% जी एन एम सीट को आवन्टन पहाडका विद्यार्थीहरुको निम्ति गरिदिनु हुन मांग राखेका थियौं। अर्थात् ४५ सीट पहाडका विद्यार्थीहरुको निम्ति सुरक्षित। यो वर्ष पनि हामीले यही मांगलाई दोहोराएर पुनः निवेदन पठाएका छौं। मैले भनेको छु कि यदि पहाडका ४५ जनालाई हर वर्ष प्रशिक्षित गर्न सक्यौं भने हामीले हर साल ४५ जनाको निम्ति रोजगारको मौका खोलेको हुन्छौं। यति रोजगार पहाडमा सृजना भएको जनता पनि चाहन्छन।

मलाई विश्वास छ मुख्य मन्त्री बाट हाम्रो मांग माथि सकारात्मक अनि ठोस जवाफ आउनेछ।

Out of the 2,405 seats (2,300 for female and 105 for male trainees) of General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) in the 39 government centres of West Bengal, The GTA region has only 2 Government training centres with a total of 90 for the nursing training. Darjeeling District Hospital has 50 seats and Kalimpong Sub-Divisional Hospital have 40 seats.

We have requested last year to the CM Ms Mamata Banerjee, with a similar demand. This year too we have written to the CM to consider in allocating at least 50% of the GNM seats to the Hills' students for the 2 centres in the GTA region. I have also requested her to look into the fact that by allotting these 45 seats for the hills' students, we are generating employment for at least 45 candids per year. It would be highly regarded by the public of the GTA region.

We are expecting and waiting for a positive response from the CM.
