This is Stuart Tickner. He was assaulted outside a London pub and died five days later 💔

A 36-year-old man is currently under arrest on suspicion of attempted murder, the force said. He presented at hospital one day after the fatal attack and continues to receive medical treatment. Witnesses to the assault are urged to come forward to help with ongoing enquiries.

Stuart's daughter Megan Tickner paid tribute to him on Facebook, saying: “It is with a heavy heart and immense sadness that I am having to share that we lost my Dad on Saturday May 30.

“A week ago, he was unfortunately a victim of a serious assault which left him with head injuries which were so severe he could not recover from them.

“He lit up any room he walked into and was a bubbly, joyful soul. I will cherish the memories of us going to concerts together and singing karaoke.

“I’ll love and miss you always Dad.”

Police say they were called around 01.00hrs on Monday, 25 May to reports of an assault outside a public house in Station Road, Sidcup.

Anyone with information is urged to call the police on 101, quoting reference 434/25MAY.

Meet Michelle Akpata - she has entered a beauty contest after gaining her confidence back ❤️

The Islington local says her weight had spiralled out of control in her twenties due to undiagnosed polycystic o***y syndrome - but has now lost an amazing nine stone.

She found herself exhausted, struggling with low confidence, and hiding away from the world.

"I wouldn’t want to take off my coat, no matter how warm it was," she said.

But things began to change last June when her GP prescribed Mounjaro.

She took the injections while sitting on a waiting list for bariatric surgery, which she eventually had in October.

Blood tests also showed she was deficient in vitamin D, B12, and iron, leaving her lethargic and hitting the snooze button three or four times every morning.

Now, Michelle has dropped nine stone and completely overhauled her daily routine.

She is back on the weight-loss jabs to reach a target weight of 10 stone.

"At 23 stone I needed to do something, even if it was drastic, that was going to help me and improve my wellbeing and my outlook," she explained.

Michelle will now compete in Miss Cosmo Great Britain for a chance to represent the UK at the international finals in Vietnam.

Meet Elam - last weekend his dream came true as he got to be part of his favourite football team's victory parade ❤️

The young Arsenal fan said the atmosphere at the parade was 'very exciting' and the vibes were 'amazing' 🎉

When asked what his reaction was when he found out Arsenal had won the league, Elam said: "I was very happy. I was in bed and my dad came up and told me the news. I was very happy."

Dad Amir said it was "amazing" to get to take his son to the parade. He said: "It is amazing to celebrate this with my son after 22 years of being an Arsenal fan. I was a fan right when the 'Invincibles' won. We hadn't won since and now we're doing the celebrations together." 🥰

Baroness Doreen Lawrence has spoken out to condemn the police who handcuffed Henry Nowak as he bled to death. 🛑

The mother of Stephen Lawrence has spoken out in the House of Lords.

Baroness Doreen Lawrence offered her condolences to Henry's family, saying what happened to him should never have occurred.

Extending her condolences to Henry's loved ones, Baroness Lawrence said: "My condolence goes out to Henry Nowak's family. I think what's happened with him should never have happened. And the police should be at fault for what happened on that night."

Yet she also hit back at politicians comparing the police's botched response to the landmark murder of her own son in South East London in 1993.

Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch recently claimed Henry's killing must be a "seminal moment" on par with Stephen Lawrence.

Baroness Lawrence dismissed the comparison, reminding peers that when her son was murdered, absolutely no one stood up to demand justice for him.

"The mere fact that the Leader of the Opposition in the other place can use my son's name in referring to reform - it took 20 years and more for anybody to understand the murder of my son and to have anybody convicted."

The man who killed Henry, 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa, received a life sentence this week.
