Thirtysix years today, we lost one of the most talented live djs of his generation.
STEVE WALSH
Walshie was a one off.
He helped raise the profile of Radio Invict in many ways.
As a dj, help putting broadcasts from tower blocks and offered his flat as a broadcast studio.
Very talented guy who could work a crowd like no other.
Plus he was a decent fella too.
Our thoughts are with his wife Sue and daughters today.

Recently, when in London, I made another trip to the birthplace of RADIO INVICTA (which was Mitcham).
Including a walk from the place of the Invicta-studio to the phone boxes that were used; listeners were able to call in to 648-3079 and 648-4512 for requests. (Dick G)

Yesterday Sunday 16th June there was a Radio Invicta gathering in Wimbledon.
No broadcast on 92,4 but eleven people turned up for a great day reminiscing and getting back together.
Five Invicta-DJ's were present: Bob Adams, Steve Chandler, Roy King, Steve Leonards and Darren James.
Also attending were helpers and friends.
This summer it is 40 years since Radio Invicta had it's final broadcast... and 54 years since its first broadcast.
