Our Story
Acquired Taste Productions is an audio engineering and music production company based in Edinburgh. We offer a range of audio services in studio and live environments, offering the very best quality at affordable prices. My name is Sarah, I am a 30 year-old sound engineer, recently graduated with an HND in Sound Production from Fife College. I am currently studying for a degree in Sound Design, hoping to specialise in production of sound effects for video games and audio books.
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic audio professional comfortable working both in and out of the studio. I have run many recording sessions with a variety of different bands and solo artists of varying genres, from jazz to progressive metal. I have logged hundreds of hours in recording studios across Fife and Edinburgh culminating in a successful EP release for Edinburgh based rock and blues band Thistlehurt, where I had a hand in every stage of the release, from recording, mixing and mastering, to marketing, artwork, distribution and organising a live release show. In the studio, I can offer music recording services with reasonable prices to match the size and scope of your project. From demos to full albums, nothing is too big or too small and each project deserves the same high quality care and attention to detail. In addition to music production, I can also provide voice over and sound design recording for all types of media, from audio books, to film, to games. I have access to excellent recording facilities and equipment in Fife and Edinburgh to make your project the best it can be. Out of the studio I offer live engineering services at affordable rates, whether it’s a one-off gig night or a full tour I will make sure your music sounds its best, whatever the venue.
