Having the right listening set up can help you get the most out of your Vinyl listening sessions. I use yamaha hs7s to get a flat and accurate response which helps me enjoy the record as close to the original sound as possible.

I have them positioned at a distance from me equal to the distance they are from each other at ear level to avoid noise cancellation and an overall better listening experience.

This is J dilla. My all time favourite Producer who sadly isn't around with us anymore. His ability to take samples from Vinyls and recreate them into something new and authentic was magnificent. Not only did he get me into listening to and saying records, he's my favourite artist to listen to. I'm listening to him as I type this.

The second picture is of him and madlib together in Brazil - Crate diggi'n!

This how I'm trying to be with my records.

The person in this photo is Madlib, he's one of my favourite Producers and artists who inspired me to get into vinyl. His craft involves taking sounds from a vinyl record, chopping them up, and re layering it to make an orginap composition. His beats really rock ya neck! He is a certified Crate digga!

I too produce in this process called sampling and its something I might cover on this page. Comment if you would be interested I watching me play records, sampling them, and making beats.

In the mean time this page will stay the same. You can watch previews and news on lots of different types of records here on Crate Diggin' Scotland
